1/13 - 2: Thanks again all. W day down and the week thank goodness. They got the forecast wrong and there was no snow or freezing rain as we worked, still forecasted for the rest of the weekend but we will see. I was inside all day making the new braces and it was a bit warmer, out of the wind; so that was good. Had two come to help and they did the same thing, argued the math; after trying to help with just one they quit and went to prep outside. One called me a geek, yeah better than a potty mouth gangster. ;)

1/13 - 3: Thing is this my sister and her husband tried for years for a child and could never have one, she was told she could not and a miracle later a little cute blonde girl, very shy. They visited once while traveling through and would not speak, until I gave her my cherry from a chocolate shake, then it was on and she talked and talked. We chased each other in the swimming pool later, I of course going slow, and made her swim hard to get me, it was a blast. But her daddy plays with her every day, in the backyard, on the trampoline, in the park. I hope he does not pass, or be paralyzed or invalid. She is only five now, and this is tragic.

1/14 - 2: If you only knew....
TIOA Sns9 eps 45: Abby lead her sons to the tree line, she had them cross the stream over to the other side and up the embankment. "Theo get off." "What mom?" said Theo in response. "Get off the horse. Boys listen to me, you move downstream and stay on this side." She nudged Theo off the horse, he hesitantly got off. "Go get on the horse with Latrell." Theo made it to the ground, and went to his big brother. "What are you doing mom?" asked Pallab. "I am going to search for supplies in the city."

Latrell waited for Theo to come over and helped him up on the horse, Theo sat behind Latrell, he asked "Mom how far do we go before we stop?" Abby looked at him and said sternly. "You do not stop, keep going. I will catch up." Latrell nodded yes and moved his horse forward. "Mom?!?" said Pallab about to ask a question. "Go." she said back. Pallab moved his horse following his brother. Abby turned Runner back around and crossed the stream, she went back up and saw as the fires were starting to dim.

She went across the long field slowly, listening carefully. "Runner?" she said, the horse picked its head up and listened. "Careful.", the horse seemed to understand and went much slower and looked down at the ground, moving carefully to make less sound. Abby pulled Runner a little to the right where there were a few more trees. When they made it to the trees Abby pulled Runner to a stop. She got down and did not tie the horse down. "You wait for me." she said as she rubbed his neck, the horse pushed back into her hand, and then lowered his head eating grass.

Abby went forward slowly, the fire going down, but not out still gave light. She could hear moaning from somewhere inside. She took an arrow out and placed it gently in the bow as she came to a tree and stopped for a minute. The cold night air was in her back, the fires light was starting to burn on her face. She looked for a minute longer, listening, and then started forward.

One building was burned down completely save the embers of the wood, and smoke was going up into the air, the smoke moved away from her, she got closer to that building and away from the fire of the next, as it slowly burned down. The moaning still in the air. Abby went to the front corner of the burned building and knelt down looking, she saw many bodies on the ground, lifeless. Abby turned back and went back around the first building to move around in the darkness.

She moved quick in the outskirts and to the other side, the smell of smoke filled the air, and coming towards her direction. She went to her left slowly listening, smell no good as the smoke filled the air. "Hmmm." she could hear the moaning, and moved silently along the trees still to her left, she passed what was four buildings and tents, looking in them to see if there was anything helpful.

Abby got closer to the moaning, and paused again for a few minutes, she looked into the darkness and listened. She could hear the moaning behind her, but it was getting more faint, she felt safer and moved forward again. "Huh, huh." coughed the person as they coughed up blood. Abby was close and looked to her right, a man was lying on the ground, his hands on his belly, blood barely moving over them, but still covered. He saw her and said. "Water please, I am so thirsty."

Abby moved closer but slow, she tensed on the bow a little as she came closer to the center of the city near the man. "Please..... cough." the cough was painful and she could hear it. Abby let the arrow rest in the bow and took her right hand and motioned for silence, she came slow and knelt at the man. He took his left hand away from his gut and Abby watched as his bloody hand moved near hear reaching out, his intestines exposed and falling out.

His hand shook as he brought it out. "Please, so thirsty." Abby moved around him to his head, she laid her bow on the ground and took out the canteen. "Shhhh, it is okay, take a drink." she picked up his head and laid it on her legs as she knelt and brought the canteen forward. She let the water out slow and the man began to drink, and she pulled back seeing his reaction before he coughed up. The little water she gave him came out with blood.

The man laid there for Abby to bring the canteen back and she poured again slowly, he drank the water, this time and it went in; she stopped as she could see he needed to breathe again. "Sooooo goood." Abby felt him relax some and listened to the surroundings. Abby poured a little on his forehead. "Find and save my daughter, pleeaasee." he said softly as his body went limp. Abby put the cap back in the canteen, he was gone, she took a dagger she saw near him and put it in her belt, she carefully laid the man's head down on the ground.

1/14 - 3: Was up at one and wanted to do something so wrote, pre-written.
TIOA Sns9 eps 46: Abby stood and looked at the man on the ground and then around the area, the buildings gone, and the fires dimming; she spotted on in which some had not fully burned and went forward grabbing her bow. Abby went close to the building and peered through the wood and spaces burned away. Across the way looked to be a chest made of wood smoldering but still standing. Abby went around to the back, not towards where the door was facing the inside of the town. She crossed carefully over some of the embers, the heat on her ankles and she moved fast.

After she got away from the heat, she slowed again and went to the chest, she grabbed slowly at the latch and it was hot to the touch, she grabbed a part of her coat and lifted the latch with her hand, then with both after laying the bow on the ground she lifted the lid. There were jars inside with lids and she took the first out and laid it on the ground taking off the lid. Oil of some time, she dipped her finger in, it was warm from the fire, and smelt it and tasted. Olive she thought.

She took another jar out and took off the lid, red in appearance and more solid, she brought the jar to her nose, and sniffed. A cherry jam or jelly, she laid it back down and replaced the lid. There were many jars and she had no way to carry them, Runner had satchels on his sides and she needed that. She thought for a moment and got up after taking her bow.

Abby moved forward thinking of where Runner would be after all her movement, he would be in the front and a little to the right. Abby went forward to what was the front door, as she went out. "Ionnsaigh!" the big man shoved her to the ground his weight heavy on her. Abby dropped her bow in the sudden attack, the man worked for her arms as she fought back, she could feel him trying to pin her legs with his. "Hmm" she said out and took a deep breath pushing his arms away and legs.

The big man worked fast and moved up closer on top of her, he let her legs go free in the back, and was trying to spin her over to have her back face him. Abby fought with him, her hands fast and she got her right free and scratched his face, taking skin. He felt the pain and slapped her across the face. Abby yelled out. "No!", she took her arms and hands and fought back as the man started to move onto her chest and placed all of his weight on her. She breathed in hard and fast, she fought his arms but he was so heavy.

The man moved his right leg up and moved her arm to the side and pinned it with his leg, she struggled with her right as he held it with one hand. "No!" Abby shouted again, she struggled and the man smiled down at her little blood droplets coming down his face. Her left arm was pinned by his leg and she pinched with her fingers at him to cause pain, she kicked with her legs but they were too far away to do more than nudge him. "No, no...." she started to cry as she fought with one arm. The man sat on top off her all his weight coming down, she was having trouble breathing and felt terror.

Abby could not breath well and felt him taking her arm down though she fought as hard as she could, the man was so much stronger. Abby tried to squirm, his weight too much and she felt more pinned. "Stop...." she said as her last arm was taken down. The man moved his leg over and her arms were pinned. He smiled down at her and went to his pockets, he withdrew a small blade and rope. Abby looked at him as he sat up straight still smiling.

The hoof of Runner hit the man square in the side of the head, he fell back, the horse went forward and looked, he placed his leg between Abby's legs to not hurt her, and kicked the man again. He dropped the blade and rope and turned over. Runner moved forward and Abby moved away. Runner went up and brought both legs down on the man, he screamed in pain, and the horse turned. The man got up feeling the pain and looked as Runner was facing away looking at him, his hind legs kicked the chest of the man and he felt his ribs break.

The man was kicked back and fell to the ground, the pain intense, he moved slowly across the ground and felt something more tender tugging at him. The man turned and Abby was over him with his own blade, she thrust it into his neck, she looked him in the eye as she removed the blade and he tried for air. Abby continued to watch him and sat on top of him blood spurted and she continued to sit on top of him as his life left his body until it went limp. Abby let the blade fall to the ground, she did not want it. She stood and felt the warm breath of Runner on her neck, he came closer and placed his head on her right shoulder and she reached around and rubbed it. "Thank you." Runner lowered his head slightly so she could feel it and brought it back up.

Abby took the reins and led Runner back toward the pots, she was very tired and slow. Runner felt it and followed easily, she did not have to pull he went with her. Abby let go and grabbed the first small jars and put them in the side totes, Runner waited. Abby took them all and placed them in the totes of both sides. She went over to the side of Runner and waited a moment still tired. Abby finally tried up and hard to pull hard on Runner instead of getting up light and Runner felt it.

Runner waited and let her on, he could feel her moving slower and knew something was wrong. "Runner to my boys." She moved him forward and to the direction they would be going, she laid down on his neck, Runner moved forward slow and careful, Abby held on softly.

Morning Katz, so as they say often and early....
TIOA Sns9 eps 47: Runner moved slowly under Abby, she in time let up and sat straight after she breathed in for some time, she took the canteen and sipped on the water, and let it down. The stars in the night sky still, but the day would come soon, and she took the canteen and drank down a lot of water. Runner came to the stream and Abby stopped him, she got off the horse and went to the water to fill the canteen as Runner came close and lowered his head to drink.

Abby filled the canteen and took another drink, she could hear the horse taking in water as well. Abby waited on her knees and felt the cool fresh air come into her lungs, she took another drink of the water and dipped the canteen back in to fill it. Abby stood and waited on Runner rubbing his ribs. "Thank you Runner." she said and put her head on the horses side. Runner finished drinking and moved ever so slightly, Abby opened her eyes back up and saw and got back on.

Abby got positioned on the horse and moved over to the other side of the embankment, she turned Runner to the left and nudged him forward. Runner sped up just a little, but felt Abby still tired so did not give even a quarter of his speed but knew she wanted to go forward. Abby's eyes closed and opened, she made Runner go back to the water and got off. She went to the water and took off her clothes, she waited a moment and then jumped in the cold water.

The cold woke her and she ran back out, she took her coat and wiped off fast and then put her clothes back on, the shock woke her. Runner watched and waited, Abby went back and got on a little faster. "Okay Runner go." Runner started to move slowly, but Abby awake for the moment moved him faster, the horse picked up pace. His eyes watched the way well before getting there, and went faster. Abby motioned for him to gain speed, her sons would be ahead of them for some time.

Runner went fast and Abby felt the cold on her face and wanted warmth, so she knelt again towards the horses neck and felt warmth on her hands and neck. Abby started to melt and Runner felt it and slowed, Abby fell asleep and Runner went much slower. Runner kept on in the direction that Abby had set, he moved through the trees softly and let her sleep on his back as he went forward.

1/14 - 5: That one is live and thinking of a cat nap.
TIOA Sns9 eps 48: Runner went forward as Abby slept, he went the direction that she wanted him to go and stayed near the water. Runner came to a stop and waited. Abby sitting on the back of the horse still sleeping with the warmth of the horse, she felt Runner move and opened her eyes. She looked and saw the other two horses.

Abby got off Runner and looked around the horses were waiting with no one on them and went into the trees, she finally saw her sons; they were bundled under the bear coats sleeping near a tree. Abby went over to them and nearest Theo, she took the bear coat and lifted it fast and came in.

Theo huddled near Pallab felt the cold and it woke him barely and he looked as his mother came close. "Mom." he said softly. "Shhhh, go back to sleep." said Abby as she laid the coats back down and snuggled close to Theo, he turned and placed his hands on his mother. Theo shifted and Abby got closer, she was cold and Theo much warmer. "Your cold mom." he said as he fell back asleep.

Abby looked just a moment longer the boys had their swords and those taken near them, she felt safe enough and her eyes closed and she fell asleep. The sun was up for some time as it came through the trees and finally got Abby's attention, she opened them slowly and closed them again. She rubbed her eyes softly and tried to look again, the sun bright and she turned her face. "Hmmmm." Theo's hands fell off her as he continued to sleep.

Abby looked away from the sun and let her eyes adjust. Theo moved closer to her for the warmth, and she laid there for a few minutes, the heat under the bear skin pleasant. Her eyes focused and she could see the stream below, she got up and away from the skin's and stretched. Her body ached a little from the night.

She went around looking for a little in a daze and saw many sticks and branches on the ground. She gathered many and took her smaller blade and made a small ditch in the dirt. She took out her thin rope and wrapped it around a smaller one that was straight and placed it on another; she spun the stick back and forth and added some dried dead grass around it, in a few moments there was a little smoke and she continued to easily move the stick back and forth.

The smoke intensified and finally a small flame. Abby stopped and added a little more grass the fire got a little bigger, and she took a branch and broke off a few small pieces that were in the air and dry, she placed them carefully around the small flame, and a little more grass. She knelt down and blew into it slowly and carefully. The grass continued to burn and the flame got a little bigger, she added a stick on top and it smoldered, and finally took. The flame got bigger, she took bigger pieces and added it to the flame and finally the campfire took.

Adding one good piece she stood and looked around, the other two horses had moved with Runner down to the stream and waited. She went over to one and took out a piece of deer meat and fastened it with rope; there was a limb close to the fire hanging low and she tied it off and placed the meat over the fire, she went to Runner and searched the satchels and got the jar of oil, she went back and basted the meat.

The fire grew and touched the lower section of meat and she let it, still frozen. She went down to the stream and washed her face, the smell of fire and food started to fill the air. She felt something on her shoulder and moved shocked for a second and Theo said. "It is cold this morning." he knelt beside her and shivered, she took him close and said. "What are you doing out of bed?"

Theo looked back and said. "What are you doing out of bed?" Abby hugged him close and let go she smiled at him, "Making something to eat." Theo said "Yeah but dear is getting old." Abby stood and said, "Well wait a minute, come with me." Theo stood and followed his mother to Runner and she took out the jar with the jam. "Just a finger but try this." she handed Theo the jar and he opened the lid, his mouth watered and he took a huge scoop with his finger. "Hmmmm, this is good." "Stop, and wait." said Abby as Theo was about to take more. He looked at her disappointed. "Wake your brothers and go freshen up."

Theo handed the jar back as Abby held her hands out to receive it, and followed his mother words and went back his brothers. "Theo?" he stopped and turned. "I love you." "Love you to mom." he turned back and went to his brothers, still snuggled close and sleeping. He pushed on them but they just moved. "Get up." They moved away. "Get up, mom said so."
