no one mentioned ( i think) the number of drips for optimal vapor... maybe some did when they said how to prime the atty after blowing out..... try 2 to 3 drops once you vape out the priming drip.

Too much juice will result in what you get from "flooding" the atty; little vapor, gurgling, heat... not fun or satisfying at all.

dripping is the best way to get the ultimate vape, but it takes time to learn it.

just follow the cues here... and you won't go wrong..

Dripping's a balancing act.... not too much or too little. Too little will get a burnt taste.
so when you vape the 2 to 3 (as you get better you can go up to 4 drops) drops, you should get about 4 or 5 full vapor draws and then it will taste a bit burnt... blow that out, and re-drip.

good luck with the T set up... let us know how that works for ya.

You got a great PV in the eGo.... there's a lot more to explore but you won't be sorry with this one.

Ok, so I am getting A LOT better with this, I think I figured out the vapor thing, and yes it seems the more I vape the more the atomizer works which is more vapor.. right now I am just dripping directly on the atomizer and I bought metal drip tips but I am removing them to drip instead of dripping into it.

I am kinda nic fitting so I think going any lower than I am would not be a good idea... Maybe the 24mg would be fine for me I just needed to blow out that atomizer and I didn't before and that was what I was inhaling..

Just tried vaping the 24mg again, I cleaned out that atomizer again and then dripped some fresh clean mint at 24mg... we shall see...

I still have the EGO T and cartridges to fill and try out..... just trying to get the vaping down pat before I try that too ......:)

I am direct dripping and its the cappuccino ELIquid from Liberty Flights in 18mg I can't read label that well but the first thing it says is 75%PG

that is a good juice, but high PG imo means a bit less vapor... a higher VG content usually brings more vapor... something you'll learn as you go along...

also the atty resistance spec is important: LR ( low resistance: 1.5 to 2.0 Ohm) can be too hot on the eGo imo... but anything over 2.3 Ohm (unless it's a cartomizer) will be too cool - less vapor again.

Most eGo's come with a 2.2 atty... authentic joye reg 510 attys (2.2 Ohm) are best imo ...

Cartomizers should be easier for you as well...

Thanks everyone... I really appreciate all of your help and advice !! This is going better for me. I am still craving a cigarette so I am going to try and use the 24mg to stop the cravings.... seems all I want to do now is vape LOL
I am only dripping 3 drops at one time on there...

When you push the button for a few seconds before you inhale into your mouth is is supposed to make any noise ? Mine kinda crackles... with fresh juice in it or after 7 inhales, same noise.... is this normal and what the device should sound like ?

if you and those reading want to get some good 2.2 joye attys, they are on sale at DFWVapor.com $5.00 a piece..
shipping is $6.00 so it pays to get a bunch... go to the "specials" in the menu. then click "forum specials"

just saying... i got 10 of em... they are my favorite atty... lots of vapor just the right heat....!

Tabitha, if you use them carefully, they last a long time, but will eventually wear out. . one rule you'll learn if you stick with this thing.... BACKUPS backups backups.

Glad it is going better for you, expect to take my first vape in the next 24 hours, and I am watching everything you post!

notes to self:

Charge up batteries

Blow out atomizer first

Take long slow pulls into mouth, then breath in

Great list but you need to add Exhale and Enjoy!

One thing I do that helps with my vaping experience is to hold down the button for about 2 (two) second before I take a drag.

That 2 (two) seconds send heat to the atomizer and that makes the atomizer *Ready* to produce the flavor and vapor experience I want.

You might want to play around with this idea a couple times. It is second nature to me now.

Glad to read you are doing better with your eGo. I read the title of your post and just about went into a panic too! LOL

Happy Vaping,
Paula

Side note: I did the same as you when I tried the patch. Had the strongest one available, and STILL craved cigarettes. Smoking while wearing a patch, not fun. Not fun at all.

With a new kit, you should be getting plenty of vapor though, I don't understand that.

Hey ... I'm only a month in so maybe this is it: What I was doing wrong was pulling in a drag and inhaling and then blowing out. Not much vapor. I like lots of vapor. What works for me is to take a small drag, inhaling that, then take a longer drag while exhaling the first drag through your nose, inhale the 2nd drag into your lungs. Whoo ... lots of vapor!

As for the patch::: they made me smoke more than I normally would smoke without them! But it was probably psychological ...

I hated the patch... I kept slapping it while I was wearing it to try and shake the nicotine loose or something... then I'd run up to the bedroom and look at the box again to confirm that they really actually do have nicotine in them. Sit on the couch again slapping the patch... Man, it was like having fleas and no fingers.

Astro - check out a tractor/feed store. PV comes in huge gallons (makes sure it is USP, though) and is used for cows and other large animals. Your local pharmacy may also carry it or can order it for you if needed. If that fails, I have been able to get some through my vet or through the local vet college without any problem in much smaller sizes (often at no charge).

You can order 16 oz. (pint) of PG, for $5.95 + $4.95 s/h at: Hoegger Goat Supply

I'm sorry. I actually giggled when I read that. I know I should be more sympathetic instead of giggling.

Seriously though, does anybody actually know anyone the patch has worked for? I never tried it myself, but only because I've known too many people who have tried it.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update... I am loving this and have not had a analog since I opened the EGo kit.
Was a little touch and go but I have fully charged up my batteries now, dripping more often, taking deeper drags and I think I am starting to get the hang of this hehe....

Now to just figure out if I want to vape 18 or 24 all day long... and what that vape might be. You were all right, can't stand the dang tobacco flavors I have... I am eating up the Cappuccino though....yummers !!
Just ordered some cherry and apple smoke from backyard brew.... any other suggestions... something refreshing, light and a all day vape.. ????

I think you mentioned that you had the Ego-T tank attys. With those, there's no reason to drip. Just let the tank do it for you. After receiving my tank, I'm thinking that this is the best system I've tried in almost a year of vaping.

Prior to the tank, I was sold on the Joye mega cylinder atty. Although the mega cylinder is a great atty, the tank is a smoother, less harsh vapor producer. Even with a cold right now, I'm getting taste without the harshness and throat hit of the mega. I may just change over and adopt the tank as an every day PV.
