I have the SharperTek XPS180-6L, which heats the solution to over 75 deg Celsius (and everywhere inbetween) and while it has some nice features like auto temp, timer, sweep and degas, I'm not entirely sure it is worth the additional cost.

I suggest you find one with a heating function and a frequency higher than 40Khz. Harbor freight makes a cheap one but I cannot attest to its reliability.

Thanks. I will look around. Maybe I will try out the Harbor Freight one. For 30 bucks, it might be worth the gamble.

If I hold it straight up/down, the ring doesn't catch.. if it's on an angle, it seems to catch more.

Anyway, I shot a quick vid to show the wiggle, are they all like this?

hmm.. video embed isn't working. http://youtu.be/wCvU-HJhaWo

Mine has that little bit of wobble in the "in between" position too but it doesn't catch at all. It's silky smooth all the way between locked and unlocked.

If yours is catching, take the button apart and inspect the threads. Sounds like you may have a bur or maybe some swarth in the threads.

I have the $30 one from Harbor Freight. I was actually surprised at how well it works. Granted... It's the only one I've ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it suits my purposes.

There is a big price jump between Ultrasonic cleaners that include a heating feature and those that do not - just start with hot water in the tub for a heated bath. The other difference is the maximum time setting. Mine goes to 8 minutes and has no heater functionality, but it was on the "cheap" side from Amazon.

They can also be used to steep juices. :)

Actually, I do think that is normal. I have two of the new switches and both have the same little wiggle when not locked in or out.

That ring is a faulty one, I am sorry for that. The wiggle is too much, it should be less.
Send please an email with your order number to info(at)vapourart.com and we shall fix it ASAP.

Ok, thanks perseas. I've taken the button apart again, I can see a few nicks in the threads of the piece that has the delrin insert, so I think that's where the catch is coming from. Either that threading is too small, or the button ring is too big.. because they're lose fitting together.

Anyway, I'm sure you know better than I as to what the issue is.. :)

That pic makes me really want a matte finished one now... I didn't even before, but wow that looks great. So now I want a polished AND matte version..... thanks, lol

Btw, that's an AGI on there right?

Yes NB, that's an UD AGI, which seems to be 'made for' this version of the Paps. I too was apprehensive of the Brushed v2.5 while having my LUX, but once u see it in person... u drool on it all over again... this one is sexy!

My perfect combo.
I can't wait to get a 2.5 switch so I can stand it on my desk without locking it each time even though the locking ring is an absolute joy to use.

Can anyone tell me why my I-phone pictures keep appearing sideways when I post them please ?

DLA - Direct loading Attys

It'd be nice if Perseas produces at least one Atomizer like the Synthesis below, which could be directly loaded on our Paps without the need of its 510 top-cap.

It'd further reduce the size of the mod (length), as well as offer a nice hybrid look. Synthesis fits the Paps... but won't it be nice if one comes directly from our beloved House of Paps? I'm totally for it. What do u say?
