My Greek army grows. I post the GG along side of the GP only because I am aware of the respect that is shared between them.

The travel of the button isn't 1 mm, it is 0.5-0,8 mm. As you see, the whole switch depends on tenths of mm in order to work flawlessly, a bit more or less and it doesn't feel right. I'll send you a new switch today and return us the old one when you receive it.

Man, I wasn't even looking for a replacement; I assumed I was doing something wrong and looking for advice on how to correct it. That's some amazing customer service!

Perseas, you've got a customer for life!

I gotta say, I am more than impressed with the Paps SS v2.5. It's my first Paps 22mm device, and I am absolutely stunned at how well this thing is built. The feature set is incredible, it's absolutely stunning, and it performs better than I could have ever imagined. Perseas & Paps, you have earned yourself a fan!

Agreed - the Paps button is second to none. Easily my favorite.

While I shine them up. I have a couple hiding, one of my favorite PAPS is on loan to my neighbour. Every one of them gets used. We can collect or we can Vape.
I choose Vape. :)

Fell free to "loan" me one of your 18350s to give it a "test". :)

I too have been vaping the dickens out of my collection but it is now getting kind of hard to keep up. Gonna thin down the herd a bit...

I love the way the brass on my Lux is darkening. It looks like a metal casing from an ammo round. I thought I would be polishing it constantly, but I'm loving the contrast against the polished non-brass bits. Definitely a very nice intro to mechs, I will slowly be increasing my collection of mechs.

I use my middle finger, my hands are too large for pinky trigger to be comfortable, and if I hold it so my pinky strikes the button, my hand covers the airhole on the Kayfun as well.

You don't have any visible brass on your LUX! :)

It's aluminum bronze! I'm just giving you a hard time, but there is a very big difference between that and brass. The aluminum bronze is quite special.

Bronzed would be the correct term! It's 1 AM and rum is involved here.

I seem to be out of Beer, Wine, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Scotch and whiskey! Maybe it's time to mix up some of my atty cleaner! Everclear and...well something :toast:

You can put it also between your pinky finger and the ring finger, or between the third finger and the ring finger :)

Well said except that 'any' part. There's nothing wrong with 'protected' ICRs on a Mech.Mod if they fit. I use 'protected' Panasonic NCR18650A 3100mAh* and they are the longest lasting ones on my Paps. Yes, we shouldn't be using a 'protected' battery on a VV/VW Mod.

However, it's wise to stick to the IMRs, especially the AWs b'coz most modders have designed their Mods based on those dimensions. And for these Mech.Mods, since all come in the minimum possible sizes, avoiding 'nipple top' batteries is wise. I use Efest and AWs ('flat tops') in the 18350 and 18500 modes and I find both perform similarly and last as long as the other.

qorax great point to know. i just made the switch to mechanical mods when i started buying Paps few months back and didnt really know mechanical mods should use flat top batteries. I always use IMR but most of mine are button type. I do have a few flat tops which i do use. great post and thanks
