It is in the works. The riddle is how to produce it with CNC engraving without putting out of schedule the GP PAPS X's production.
The CNC engraving is a complicated procedure, because it needs to be programmed for every tube and the CNC engraving on a 316 SS tube takes more time to be done than on an aluminium bronze one.

I understand. As long as I can get my hands on one sometime, I suppose I will survive. :toast:

EDIT: Of course I wouldn't complain if you wanted to send me the one from the photos on Facebook. :D

I rcvd my paps today from Domo and love it, however I cannot get the lock ring to budge.... any ideas?

One drop of machine oil. Let it rest for 10-minutes. Then try again!

Congrats on your purchase :)

Tried this already, on both the outer seam and the inner threads of the 2 button rim halves and no luck :-(

Next week's GP Spheroid batch will have a bead blasted finish not a brushed one, the same with the GP Piccolo.

That's what I'm talkin 'bout. I have been holding off on getting a good mod stand for quite some time. That is epic! Is it TF? or who?

Because you mentally are saying "dirty naked lazy susan waiting on the kitchen table for me...oh wait, thats me. :)

No TF.

I don't hate Nemmies at all, you know this and there is only one that almost deserves that title made right here in 'murica on ego alone.

I just wish the threading wasn't so thin and marked up by looking at it, and the button didn't sound and feel like I was crushing an empty soda can, and the threading wasn't tack welded in so that I can see it from the outside, and the tubes not being seamless is a deal breaker, and the finish on the matte didn't look like it was done with 100 grit sand paper in a dirt cloud, and the little brass pin in the switch that should be perm installed so that I didn't have to lose it again and spend 4 hours, 2 vacuums, 3 pasta strainers with 2 spot lights on a 6x6 area of new shag carpet to find it.
I Never put a battery in it. I'll wait till the beta testing is over.
I like those guys alot, they are very capable of doing better finishing work and they know it.

Love my new Lux, but there are issues with the switch. At first it would fire when the locking ring is completely open. I fixed that by disassembling and checking everything, then putting it back together.

Also, the locking ring seizes every now and then, and I have to wiggle it back and forth to get it to release. Is this normal? I would think it would just smoothly travel every time. Instead it likes to catch, and only opening/closing it again releases it. It's also a little crunchy as it hits the full-open position. Everything is clean inside, and I even swapped the spring with the spare. Still doing the same thing.

Love the mod and the patina is already beautiful after only a week, but the switch is driving me crazy.

No such issues here, and lots of comments from others as well on how perfect the whole bottom section is, both switch and locking ring.

Opening the locking ring is smooth, and when it reaches its max position, it takes about twice as much force to begin unscrewing the bottom cap. It is, without exaggeration, perfect on my Lux.

What the haps?.
Ok, Remove the switch and check out the brass nut on the back side. It should not be level with the threads. If it is remove the nut(reverse thread) with a pair of needle nose pliers, flip it over and replace. If you inspect the nut while off it will have a flat side and the other will be more concave or cupped, if you will. Cup side down, always. Replace.
While you have the nut off, take the switch apart to understand it. Flip the spring while your in there.

I bet your brass button extends past the lock ring by <1mm. If it does, it is the nut.

Your lock ring may take a bit to get buttery smooth and operate with a flick of the finger. When locking or unlocking there is no need to tighten any more than the stopping point. In fact, I always leave just a bit of play before the ring locks either way. They will get buttery smooth. I dont recommend oil on the threads as the oil will not allow finger flick and it actually will slow the ring and create a more often than not switch cleaning!

GL.
