Perseus, for some reason I'm getting a lot more battery play and misfires with my SS 18490 battery tube than with the Lux, any ideas? Same batteries, top cap, switch etc. it's very strange.

any obvious ideas?

Vcoupe!
batteries often come in minute size differences. Two 18490s can be <>mm off. Very strange but true. The misfires and play of battery go hand in hand.
As far as the rattle goes, I set my tele posts just so there is no play at all. No tighter as, this can effect the performance of switch and obviously leave even the slightest of unwanted gaps if the posts are extended too far.
In other words, If I move my tele post a hair I will experience a bit of rattle.
If there is no room to screw in the posts then use the smaller tele screw and adjust.

I know you said same battery(just now re read it), so check the tele posts and see if they are identical. Also eliminate issues by process and swap the switch and top caps back and forth, you should narrow issue down.

Good luck!

Are you using the top cap or the switch to change batteries?

If I use the top cap to change the battery the post moves as I am screwing the cap on and then I get the rattle. I use the switch to change batteries now and have not had an issue.

Extra nice! Haven't seen one set up like that yet. Trying to follow. Basically, and I say that lightly, two loops with your wick, but wrapped at the intersection at the bottom with your wire. So you have 3 runs of rope wrapped in wire?

that's a pretty badass setup!

how did you do that coil wrap? did you have to thread it through the wick loops or is there some twist trickery i'm not seeing.

now I'm buying a spheroid :toast:

Perfect!

and that's some serious ink - you have the t-shirt version to match? ;)

That is my protector when I was overseas and yes.

Two full loops around index finger then put on syringe if needed for stability. Wrap your coils through loophole and around, I use 2mm eko, .30ga wire , 4 wraps at 1.4 ohms.
Lay it upside down and nut it on. Yes I just said nut.

The principle is that the small loops will not collapse as they contact the filler on each side of the air tube.

When you are done tightening the loops, hold the tube with the sera wool to the base of Spheroid with wick where it would be screwed down to make sure it is a perfect fit and not jammed up in the filler.

I also use this on the Kfun and lay them down on the side(loops are a hair larger)

The loops can be larger to begin with and when the pin/syringe is pulled out they can be pulled tighter.

Before tightening on kayfun

Tightened and laid down the way it will rest in evac chamber

This set up works great but the wicks will get heavy and fall

The side loop is also fantastic

I found little benefit to mesh over wick, I thought it would prolong eko wool but the entire width of the mesh gets hot as hell and they gunk up to fast.

enjoy :)

Kayfun Lite and SnP available tomorrow. Which one to get? And don't say both.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2 different systems
Kayfun lite is easier to setup

I like the Diver/SnP over the kayfun right now though

I'll try to get 23mm SnP/Diver and spheroid tomorrow
