That Spheroid looks familiar! :2cool:

Here's my GP Spheroid v2 review. I'm definitely recommending it to friends that want the full flavor of dripping, but find the airy draws on most Genesis-style atomizers and RDAs too airy. The craftsmanship and design of the Spheroid are fantastic!

So here's a question..

The 14500 battery in size comparison to say a 18490 etc.

I'm just wondering if the Pila charger would be compatible, but I haven't seen any info comparing the sizes.

Who's got the facts? :D

The first two digits indicate the diameter and the second two digits indicate the length. So, a 14500 battery should have a diameter of 14mm and a length of 50mm, an 18490 battery should have a diameter of 18mm and a length of 49mm, and so on.

Please note that this is what the dimensions of the batteries should be. In reality, there are size variations, so the sizes are not always exactly what they should be. Also, some brands are worse than others in keeping with the size specs. Furthermore, protected batteries are usually longer, since the protection circuitry takes up space.

The Pila charger is (natively) compatible with batteries up to an 18mm diameter and 65mm length. My Pila charger came with spacers to allow for charging different size batteries. You should use two stacked spacers to charge 18350 batteries, one spacer to charge 18490/18500 batteries and no spacers to charge 18650 batteries.

Whats the best way to get my threads cleaned up? They came with some black stuff in them and Im trying to figure out the best approach to cleaning them.

I found that isopropyl alcohol swabs work well to clean dirt/corrosion off of threads. Something like these:
Amazon.com: Curad Alcohol Swabs Antiseptic Wipes, 200 Count: Health & Personal Care

If you don’t already have some, you should be able to find them at a pharmacy, Walmart, etc.

I also noticed that alcohol swabs are a good way of locating burrs on threads, since they’ll rip a little and leave fibres on the burrs; I found tweezers to be good at removing those fibres from the burrs, if that happens to you.

Thanks for the educated answer my friend. I'm always amazed at the willingness of people on ECF to delve out information instead of a "best of luck to you" answer.

I researched some more on my Pila charger after making that post and it states it's compatible with the 14500 batteries. As long as that's true, I'm good to go.

Thanks again :D

Pila charges everything! These Spacers screw onto the spacers that came with your Pila but are half the size. So 2 of these and one Pila spacer is good for an 18350. Remove all spacers for 18650.

Ok, got up this morning and made a cup of coffee to enjoy with my morning vape. Grabbed the Lux, unlocked the ring, fired the button....nothing. Tried again....nothing. Scratched my head, unscrewed the atty, screwed back on and still nothing. I know it was a newly charged battery because I put it in a couple hours before I went to bed last night, but proceeded to check anyways. Unscrewed the bottom firing button and noticed some black looking ink substance on the bottom of the battery and on the center nut of the firing pin. I wiped it with a moist paper towel and it came right off.

Worried that I messed something up and possibly melted my battery or even worse...the Lux, I checked the battery with my multimeter and it is right around 4v. Put the same battery back in and now it fires away. Chained vape for a bit and the battery seems normal, not hot, no venting, or any negative signs of a bad battery. I will check again later to see if I get that black substance again, but in the meantime, I was hoping someone could chime in on this for me.

Is it possible that the gold plating was melting off from the bottom firing pin?

The exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago - I posted about it a while back. I see lots of silver on the contact now and I still have no explanation and it hasn't happened again. Fortunately, it was suggested that I get a multimeter (which of course I already had).

just got my 2.5 ss today and i throw a flat top 18350 in and my kayfun lite on top and the top cap will not screw all the way down when i set the propper connection for the kayfun, anyone have this problem?

Firestorm is correct and that may solve your problem. Something else to look at is: You should have received two battery adjustment screws, one is thinner than the other...it may be you will need to switch to the thin one.

Hey Raymond!
We exchanged opinions an hour ago via emails about your review, which was unexpected and I just now saw it here.
It was from RPadTV that I've been informed a while ago who invented the eGo ecig, the RY4 liquid etc, in this amazing review from the Janty owner.

Thank you for all the information you provide to the vaping community :)

Normally you must have one more screw with thinner head.

Exactly!

@Kataphraktos - Yes, everything was dry except for the bottom of the of the battery and the center of the bottom button in between the hex nut. I'm hoping it is juice but I'm not sure how the juice got down there with everything else being dry? Unless I had juice on my fingers when I put in the battery in and screwed in the bottom button. Hmmmmm....

Anyways...it's been fine for the past couple hours, so I'm not gonna fret and just enjoy this beautiful device....unless it happens again.

It is odd, if that happens again, inform me please, to investigate what causes it.

Having a hard time deciding which gp paps to go with when it re-stocks on Monday. Brushed or lux? :/ wished I could get both.

Btw, this will be my first time ordering from vapourart. Do these sell out in a few minutes like a lot of other high end mods? I definitely hope not. I get work at 7:30am pacific time and I believe it releases my time at 8am.
