Where do you measure your coils with the multimeter? I usually stick each point into the philips notches of the screws after I've mounted the coil on the posts and get a reading that consistent with the provari.

That's exactly where I tested; right in the notches of the phillips head.

anybody used ghost modder tubes? i got some ordered so i can experiment with patina. figure they are cheaper and i can strip it down to try different looks. anybody patina their LUX?

I've used GM's brass tubes during my early days of Paps (when Lux wasn't introduced)... and I can vouch for it's quality and machining. They are good, fits well on the Paps and looks very nice. Definitely worth the money.

However, as Perseas correctly stated, those are 'brass' and the would get patina differently as well as early. Whereas, the Lux tubes are "Alu-Bronze", which last much longer before collecting any oxidization. If hues matter -- the GM tubes look exactly like brass, while the Lux tubes look more like 'gold'!

Blake, theOB here on ECF is the proprietor, a great entertainer, great guy and who loves to shop for sweater vests for his toy poodles, stops by here often.
Does Domo post anywhere on the forum advance notifications when new GP items will go online. I don't want to be late to the party. :)

If you visit the site, register, and sign up for notifications, you will be fine as I understand the notifications are working well. I am told he will be listing a "list" in advance of items that will be available.

It's just sometimes with the notifications you are only notified after the items go online and if you get the notification late or your not at your computer ready :facepalm::facepalm:

Got to be ready and able when GP hits the site :matrix:

Perseas - I know you guys are closed up for summer vacation but I just found and issue with the contacts in my latest PAPS LUX... There's no plating on any of the pieces. Looks like it was assembled with a standard 2.5 cap & switch.

Invoice Number: 1000001663
Serial Number: 0871

If you want to wait until after the summer break to address the issue, no problem. Just wanted to let you know while I was thinking about it.

Not with Brasso or any other abrasive liquid product!

While you are at it, you might disassemble the switch and clean the post, contact, nut, spring and threads. It is a good time to get to know your switch.

GL!

I am sorry for that. We shall send you the correct ones, but throw us please an email on September about it with you order number, not the invoice number - it has 4 digits.

ghost modder is an anus. it takes him a month and a half to ship a drip tip. And trust me I;m not the only one, I dont reccommend anyone buys his knock-off junk. By the time I got my tip I was so mad I sanded his dumb logo off of it so I wouldnt have to look at it anymore.

I couldn't agree more, nothing original just rips off idea from someone else, pure cloner

The quality of his brass tubes are pure junk to be honest.

Stick with official real GP parts. Not only are the products superior but GP also has great customer service and some people could take lessons in good etiquette from perseas.
