My Canadian Qbro I have no words for what I just watched. I wish I was able to unwatch it though. I for the sake of a healthy mental society hope that that video is confiscated and destroyed and everyone including myself and you are taken to a facility deep in the heart of the underworld and have it flash removed from our memory.
Please use this post as a reminder to think about posting future videos of such content. We as a GP family must embrace this movement of a healthier future.
Oh, and typically I am all up for a Idabro/Qbro bro hug but I am still a bit uncomfortable at this point.
:)

I have only to add that this was the most colourful post from Qorax till now!

Photo of a GP SnP 316 SS tube sample. They will be available tomorrow in brushed finish with polished the CNC engraved insignia, our aeolipile. As you can notice, it isn't placed exactly in the middle in order to be symmetrical when the 23 mm covers are used.

I post an interesting link also about the batteries.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tery-samsung-inr18650-20r-sony-us18650v3.html

The Sony US18650V3 and the Samsung INR18650-20R haven't been tested with the GP PAPS X.

Many brands are now in the market and almost all of them have various pole configurations and their coating varies in thickness and coverage as long their length. Sorry guys, but from a designing aspect we cannot cover all of them and keep our mods minimal. We have tested the AW IMR 18xxx and the EFEST IMR 18xxx batteries combined with the Kick v1 & v2 as we did with all of our mods from v1 and for that purpose we designed 3 different versions of telescopic posts, following the changes of the modules and the out of specs batteries.

You did very well Perseas! The "X" is unique - a design marvel - and typically works fine with most quality batteries out there. We understand the vagaries of battery dimensions - and it'd be virtually impossible for any modder to take them all into consideration... unless s/he makes them disgustingly Vamoish. No, nothing wrong with the Vamo - but I'm into mechanicals for an "X", ain't I?

BTW, I have every IMR in the Globe - and am rotating all of them on my "X" - without any issues. Yep, I have kept those "O" rings handy for those non-AW/Efest moments!

Which is why we love the GP... there's an intrinsic value in detail... which Team-GP has totally mastered Gr8 work there Perseas with this lovely Metallic SnP tube!

I am sure that all here, myself included, will appreciate your input about the different brands of batteries in conjunction to the GP PAPS X.

Whaaaaaat? You mean you’ve never gone ice skating in front of the Taj Mahal?

I am very much looking forward to owning one or two. I am every day impressed with the functionality of your new creations.
As you know, I am in love with the X as all of us. It has proudly taken its intended place in my never ending PAPS collection. One thing I can not get over is your new engraving. It is stunning. I am bringing this up with your post due to the engraving on your tank. Wow.
As, I have mentioned that I love the V1 classic engraving as well, I feel that they complete the GP. I am sure the machining creation of it was not easy brother. Lets not forget the aeolipile...genius.
Well done bro.

And again, it beats the hell out of a ship. :)

Thank you Idaho for your continuous enthusiastic appreciation, it honours all of our PAPS team and inspires us to be better.

The aeolipile was really difficult. We threw away many samples and I did a furious discussion with the CNC operator, to convince him that he should make it as I wanted. We produced 100 pieces only, if there is a demand for them, we'll make more. The laser engraving of the GP PAPS v1 pulled in conflicting emotional responses from the Paps users. Many people loved it and many others hated it from the first moment. We kept it for 2 versions and we stopped it as a distractive characteristic and we paid more attention to the functional sides of the design.

I will tell you again the idea and meaning behind the aeolipile is genius my friend.
I have run into both sides of the V1 creation as well, it seems now when I talk more about the history and where GP came from they unterstand more now.
In fact, I am in the middle of trading my Gandalf Pipe for another V1 set with my beloved engraving.
Funny though, the engravings after I love as much and the newest speaks with such class. But, history is important whether we study it or take it for granted, I as you happen to love history.

I've never understood the hype behind the "old spice" mod..

In my honest opinion, the GP Paps sinks the ship and the Paps X just flat out demolishes it..

My .02

I'd like to know more about it, I don't have one - so don't know...

Is/does the Caravela:
a) have a a better quality SS &/or Brass body than my Paps?
b) have a better switch design than my v2.5?
c) is better conducting? I mean, is there a loss-less or higher voltage on it's 510?
d) is the engraving of something superior quality? Any unique process activated for it?
e) is the engraving of higher depth and better vectored?
f) have a higher quality threading? Which makes the couplings much better.
g) has a higher gauge metal in it's body?
h) has a different approach or amalgamation to make it's tubes? Is it superior to my LUX's metal?
j) have something different and obviously bettered in it's top-cap?
k) has 24K gold over silver plating for sure in it's contact points, right?
l) have a unique locking mechanism/ring different than my Paps?
m) have the ability to be kept upright without locking?
n) has a superior machining/milling process incorporated to make the device?
p) have some sort of exquisite safety feature?
q) has non-abrasive properties on it's tubes... can never get scratched, tarnished etc.?
r) has superior tolerances in its threading, firing button, 510 post etc.)
s) is the shortest &/or the sleekest mod, in it's category?
t) has been solely hand made?
u) has precious metals added into it's engravings?
v) or, is the 'ship' etched using some sort of trigonometric valuations?
w) is made with astrological, teleological, theological significance? Vastu Shastra, Feng-Shui anyone?
x) has some unique ecosystem - specifically created for the Vela?
y) comes from an exceptionally approachable and friendly modder/modding team?
z) the overall manufacturing process has a superior artistic approach?

Well, I have no clue, thus asked?

Is the Lux going to be available tomorrow or only the SS GP Paps?

These are expected tomorrow:
1. A batch of GP PAPS X & Parts
2. A batch of GP PAPS X Rings
3. A batch of GP Spheroid & Parts
4. A batch of GP SnP & Parts
5. A small batch of GP SnP SS tubes
6. A small batch of GP PAPS & Parts
7. A batch of Kick2 by Evolve
8. A batch of GP Drip Tips (it is possible to have them a few days later, because their O-rings have been delayed)

I have a friend with one that I have spent some time with. I answered the Q's I can in the quoted text and in red..

I'd say the build quality is on par with the Paps 2.5. Many Vella owners use a Paps switch so that should say something right? You will get MUCH better support from the Paps team and it will be much faster!

The Paps X blows it away in just about every single detail

Like I said earlier, I honestly do net get the hoopla and hype over it.. Maybe it's because he makes his buyers wait a year or more for it? No clue but I can tell you this, I'd never buy one..

I've owned both, and they are both very nice devices. To be fair, the other is basically a 2 year old design, with no real changes made to it, while GP has continued to refine their designs, create new devices, and focus on expanding their manufacturing to increase volume and accessibility, while maintaining a high standard of quality.

It would be more accurate to compare the original GP PAPS with it, which I think most would agree has been drastically improved upon :)

:rickroll: I'm getting a Lux... I'm get a Lux..can you tell I'm excited? On a serious note a fellow ECF GP member is setting me up...and even let Blake know I was purchasing from him to ensure if I had any issues I was legit. I'm so excited. Still haven't had time to deal with my SNP tank but hopefully soon. Granddaughter was baptized this morning and lets just say that had higher priority today.
