this thread is on a devilish page!! quick question for the X owners. watching igetcha's video review of the X, the button looks very different than the current paps buttons. no outer sleeve surrounding the actual button and no little feet. are there any issues with the mod firing standing up without locking the button?

My X, topped with a 3/4 full kayfun 3.1, with the medium spring (default), does not fire without locking. It does come with a softer and harder spring though. Hope that helps.

There are no issues. You may have been watching the video on the GP PAPS as there is a control ring surrounding the button.
With any of the 3 springs you choose to use there will be no issue. I have been using mine for quite some time and have been through the X like no other and there is no issue.
I happen to have tried an extra PAPS spring and it did not fair as well. In fact it could work but, one would have to be very careful as it is not made for the X and does fire occaisionally.

Stock springs offer an incredible feel to to the throw. Dont expect too much difference in the springs though as, with such a defined smooth short throw there isn't enough travel to feel too much difference.
Nice to have you here.

I have a 23mm SnP on top of my X filled to the rim with juice and the device stands up unlocked and has never fired.

The button and switch on the X is marvelous!

This is why I like GP Products. I'm fed up with manufacturers who send out faulty product. I don't mind waiting longer for something knowing that it'll be perfect when I get it. Cheers to you Perseas!

So true my pool playing buddy, so true. And, they know it is faulty but have to sell the batch to fix the issue and hopefully fund some of the next batch.

I know, right? Atomo anyone?

Isn't is sad when suppliers do that?

Look at GP. P redesigned the X AFC because a few found they didn't like it. I personally see nothing wrong with the AFC they way it was but P went out of his way to accommodate the minority.

Now the last batch of SnP's were not up to his standards. What does he do? Lose sales to make sure it meets and exceeds his standards.

If only all suppliers would operate the way Vapourart does it would be nice but sadly, not many do..

True, this is the other side of VapourArt's story that many never see. There are many many GP owners that never even see this side of the team. I still can not wrap my head around how many members that own PAPS I see around the threads that I have never seen or heard of. Yet they have 1 PAPS and an Atomo, GM and the other cloners that were close to the same $.
How can you compare these similar mods with the PAPS? and why do you own the others? Funny.

Anyway, what is the plural usage of PAPS? PAPSES? PAPSI? PAPSICLES? yes, I have a bit of spare time right now but, still want to know.

Perseas didn't necessarily lose all the 23mm sales. Although I had intended buying a second 23mm tank, I managed to convince myself that I really need a 22mm SnP :D. Of course, when the 23mm comes back into the store, I'm almost certainly going to realise I still only have the one 23mm tank that sits so beautifully on the X ...

There is a member, GP fam, who "might" be interested, if given a little time to pull some cheese together. I stated I would pull it down and wait. GP code. ;)
