SNP tank question...has anyone else noticed that when using the carto tool it shreds a little of the inner oring each time you take it in and out? I think I finally have this little guy running..without leaking have noticed this issue.

Idaho..have I told you lately that you rock:headbang:

I have always shredded an amount from the inner o-rings with each insertion. Amount meaning very small "sliver". Even so, I haven't had leaks because of that. I also apply a generous amount of juice to the tool/rings/carto/Diver whichever.

I really tried hard to word this correctly, because there aren't many ways to say "lubed up from top to bottom prior to insertion" without bringing the peanut gallery out of hibernation.

Carry on..

WOOHOO!! Finally get a shot at some drip tips, if I don't get trampled in the stampede!!

Just spotted this out there-copper Paps anyone?

KOBBER MOD FRA IRON MOD - 18350 UDGAVE

Is it just me or does copper sound like a bad idea? I can only imagine that the rate copper oxidises would be an issue for threads etc?

The site says it already, "Keep it in high polished state. Needs regular polishing." ;)

Why thank you Iowa! You :headbang: too!
Are you using the carto tool to insert your diver or carto into the SnP? This will help the sharp edges of the metal from shaving the rings a bit. I have replaced quite a few in the beginning without the tool but, with it I get good life and just replace as maintenance now.

Also make sure you are coating the tool and carto with a bit of juice or PG.
Hey, one thing that may help with the spinning thread cover on the SnP is to use the stiffer brown o-rings in the cap as they will create more tension on the tank and reduce spin.

I have always shredded an amount from the inner o-rings with each insertion. Amount meaning very small "sliver". Even so, I haven't had leaks because of that. I also apply a generous amount of juice to the tool/rings/carto/Diver whichever.

Thanks guys...I am using the carto driver to insert my Diver into the SNP tank (top cap issues resolved) It was just a sliver of the oring that was on the carto tool when I was done. Next time I'll try to apply a little more juice to the orings and carto driver. I am very pleased though..tank set all night with no leaks at all:laugh: Think I finally have it set up correctly and boy does it rock..

I had seen that Q, sounds high maintenance to me. I expect there is a reason you don't see many copper mods!

Just wanted to through it out there as it seems like a very expensive copy of a Paps.
I am not trying to knock it, just thought it would be of interest!

I am not looking to get one BTW

On another note, finally managed to track down a hybrid adaptor so hopefully will be rocking the kayfun with that soon:2cool:

It is very stealthy combo :)

Perseas,
You've gotten me even more excited for the arrival of my Micro Stick. You've also helped me decide that I MUST try it with a Spheroid. Seems like the upcoming vapour day will have just replacement parts. Any thoughts on when the next run of complete units will happen?
