This has nothing to do with anything. Just making conversation.

I just cant wrap my head around a box mod. To each their own, but it's just undesirable in appearance. I see these things and people in hot pursuit for em. Where is the comfort? The fit and feel? It's like slapping an atty on a VHS tape, here let's vape this!

And this Zombie ProVari? What the? I don't want to carry something that looks like that.

When I look at the GP line, I think quality. I think "vape like a Sir" comes to full reality(or ma'am) ;)

No offense intended. It just baffles me.

Agreed and often wondered the same. I can see why some would go for a billet box. Those are tough. But we sent box mod types. I totally mean no disrespect.

As for the paps, I've had the pleasure of "mod sitting" a paps. (Well, two siblings). :). Of course jumped in feet first for the X. And hopefully tomorrow I can see it in person. :)

I have a GP PAPS SS, a Provari Mini, a Billet Box, and a Reo Mini. So two of each type. I have smallish hands...so I prefer smallish mods. I love each of them for different reasons.

My PAPS with either my Spheroid or my KFL+ is beautiful and functional, but I'd really hate it if I dropped it. The Provari is great for the variable voltage and the resistance measurements.

The box mods I chose because they are self contained. Ok, the Reo does have the Reomizer on top, but the height is about the same as the PAPS/Spheroid combo. The Reo is so easy to change flavors...put on a new bottle and go. Sometimes I don't even change the wick, about 3-4 puffs, and on to the next flavor. Washable & pocketable.

The billet box is just a beautiful piece of engineering...very pocketable, even back pocket and sit on it...built like a tank, holds 6ml, variable voltage and is far and away the best carto vape I've had. (I do want a Diver V2 for her, though).

Oh, and I do have a Microstick on order. Should be shipping soon...Spheroid or Sophia in a slim tank will go on it...

Honestly, I wanted to love GVC, but the subtle sweetness of the Vanilla Custard that I longed for never showed up. I even steeped after receiving, though I know GVC is steeped before receiving too.

Headys was recommended by a GVC lover as being very similar. It's solid gold in a bottle as it refers to color. Steeped, it turns a tad darker, but keeps its liquid gold appearance. I know some taste comes down to wick/coil setup, but I wicked my GVC the same as I do the Headys. Again, I received zero hints of vanilla sweetness from the GVC. Disappointing. Headys is an excellent juice, but taste is so subjective. I found one user that tried after I mentioned it to release it in the classies soon thereafter claiming it was too sweet.

I can only say "it's good bro". The price is right, it's ALWAYS obtainable, and flavor is spot on for a vanilla custard. The mixer is a good dude, shipping is fast, and it comes in well protected glass bottles. I just LOVE glass bottles! ;). The mixer advised me to put it on some silica for the best flavor, and I declined. I advised him to throw it on microcoil/cotton, as he had never tried that setup, and he never looked back lol.

When I ordered the GVC, it was in 24mG. Maybe that was it? Maybe I didn't give GVC a fair shot?

My current ratio is 50/50 @ 18mG. I have 240+ mL on board.

The difference? I like price and availability. That's one area that GVC lacks; it's hard to come by. Other than that, it's hard to compare the two as I didn't have the GVC that long. I can vape the Headys straight from the box. I could not vape GVC even after a week steep.

End rant. I hope I provided some clarity per your question. I would gladly toss some in a sampler for you to try ;)

Yeah I have been meaning to try. I was just curious as to what made it so good. I've tried Big Willie's also, and that stuff is fantastic as well. You may like it. I agree with you, I like being able to hop online at any time and order a juice. Not waiting, and reading in forums when something is available for a split second then vanishes. That's the only thing I hate about GVC. I just love it though. I have found the more it steeps and changes to that dark amber color I like it less. It has this like "cottony" background at that point. At least to my taste. Having been lucky enough to grab some this go around from Grant it is a perfect light orange color and it's sublime.
Your nic level is way too high for me (I am at 6) or I would take you up on that sampler. Thanks though.
I thank you for the detailed response and will keep an eye for Heady. I'll let you know my thoughts when I get some!

I share the same sentiments. I'm just not cut for the boxies! I've never tried a regulated mod also ~ but if it had to be a Provari - I'd pick the black one.

If you're going to go for a black Provari, I'd get the Stealth Edition. I have absolutely no interest in another Provari, but that puppy tempts me when I see it mentioned.

If you own many different attys, like I do, make sure you don't judge a juice by the experience in only one atty.

I've tried a small bottle of VCV Vanilla Tobacco only in my old KFL, and didn't care for it too much. I set it aside and ignored it for a while.

Last night, I took stock of my juices. I found the bottle, and decided to put some in a Spheroid.

Boy, did I judge that juice wrong.

The Spheroid gives the juice this rough bite, almost reminiscent of an actual analog. It wasn't so much throat hit, it was more that initial bitter rush you get when you take the first drag from an analog. I tried the juice in a couple of other setups, but only the Spheroid brought this out.

I need to create a spreadsheet to keep track of which juice goes best with which atty.

I've noticed that too. I only have protanks and my kayfun lite. But I've noticed some juices taste horrible on silica vs cotton and vice versa. I'm looking into getting a cheap RBA dripper to play with.

I've definitely noticed that juice tastes different in different atties. I haven't gotten to the point where I can say which atties bring which qualities forward, but the difference is definitely noticable.

I DO however judge a juice by how it performs in my KFLs and Squape. They're what I use on a daily basis so I'm definitely the type that is more concerned with finding the right juice for my atties than finding the right atty for the juice.

I'm still getting my Spheroid sorted out--it seems to add a quality to CLS that I'm not sure if I like or not. I'll have to get it sorted soon though, since my Micro Stick will be on its way soon. Out of curisoty, has anyone tried SS cable in their Spheroids?? I've got a TON of it sitting around from a Doc Dave Mini Micro that isn't seeing much use anymore...

Me as well...I bought a cheap IGO-L to test out samples of juices...microcoil and cotton just like I run in my Spheroid, KFL+, Sophia, and Reomizer. I had a boat load of juices that I had steeped and were ready to be tested. I soon found that all the juices I tried in it tasted like crap, even my (currently) ADV, TriBeCa. No changing of the coil position or cotton quantity seemed to make any difference.

Then I started trying the juices out on my Reo...it's the easiest RBA I have to be able to fine tune with the coil position, and airflow, plus it's a snap to only try a couple of ml of juice on a clean wick. Narrowed down my favorites. I put an Apple Cider juice that was just delicious on the Reo into my KFL+ (which I LOVE), and it tasted totally different! Not bad, but definitely more sour. Like a Granny Smith Apple. Even after vapining about 1/3 of a tank, it tastes the same.

Kat, you are absolutely correct, I think the juice & atty should be tested together...I'll never toss out a juice again until I've tried it on at least 2 or three of mine.
