Unfortunately, my Thanksgiving plans fell through...my day of feasting on food I didn't have to cook, and falling asleep watching football didn't happen, as my other half came down with raging stomach flu last night. And, since I did not want to go to my in-laws by myself, I stayed home. Of course, no groceries in the house, since we were going elsewhere for Thanksgiving.
My Thanksgiving dinner consisted of a sandwich made from leftover chicken fajitas, Sun Chips, and hummus. And an ice cream sandwich.

Yeah I normally use an HH357 to sample from and it seems to give me a great starting point. I'm really not picky about juice. Most I just throw in the kayfun anyways. I've haven't really had too much bad luck honestly. I research the crap out of any juice I buy first. I guess I can just stick to what I do now. If it ain't broke don't fix it I guess! Sorry to hear about your fiasco. That sucks. There are times when being alone with a sandwich on thanksgiving isn't too bad though. Makes ya appreciate the times you CAN and DID spend with everyone else a little more. Stay up!!!
Ooohh now we need a Paps XXX (a lux bersion of the Paps X). I'd pay $300 for that one

I need "15 microns and above silver plated" contact upgrades for all my v2.5 Paps.
I'm tired of frequently cleaning all the internals... the 'X' and the LUX spoiled my habit/s I guess! The reason why I only use these two lately. And am not buying anything further if it isn't Gold or Silver inside, LOL!

And add an FYI... the JGG brass makes a great accent ring on the X. Now to find a brass AC ring...

I hear you Q. I just pmd someone back tonight asking me about the X and one of my comments was sometimes I just remove the top cap and switch and stare at the contacts. I am a fan of the silver plated as it conducts through its own oxidation. Brass does not.
The trick for me not to clean as often was to buy a few 6 packs of PAPS

Never has a miss yet and actually prefer over the Kayfun. Try 28 K1 around 1/16 bit, pull 2 strands of cotton yarn through and trim 2mm past exit hole. This for me is (and has been for several weeks now) my #1 atty.If 'ya give up on it, let me know. (might even trade 'ya with a KF3.1.... and maybe even that 500 tube...)

Ah, you will get first dibs my friend. I have set up with cotton yarn and every size Eko. I do like it much but, even 1 out of 15 dry hits is too much for me. I have never had a flooding issue unless I primed it after said dry hit. I will try your setup and thank you for the tip. I use Lily sugar n cream cotton yarn.
Honestly I set it up very nicely but loathe any dry hits, hate em. The SQuape is very similar and have no issues at all.
Like mentioned earlier, such a fine line between flooding and proper wicking.
As you know it also sets up with fluff but, I can't do that to my spheroids
. I know it won't competewith them. Thank you again. Gonna give it a whirl.

Well now that I mention this I'll have no chance of getting this off your hands... DUMP the fluff.
I too read the owners manual thinking fluff was required, but (maybe due to translation) look again. It simply is showing you 2 different ways of set up. If you leave long wicks and point up it works like the Spheroid. If you cut at 2mm do not use fluff. It works great without. The GT is awesome 'cause to refill you flip upside down and fill. You can also recoil or re-wick without dumping your juice.

My little Nellie (5 mo) spent most of the day in Grandma's arms...she doesn't enjoy the chaos too much yet
Then we had Ella (2 1/2) who got all excited when we started watching Snow White..."Grandma I want to be Snow White..I need my Dress" (she dressed up for Halloween) I say well honey your dress is at home....I was wrong it was in the car and I went right out to get it. What a hoot...she was trying to sing the songs and run around the house doing everything Snow White does....so had a great day...
