Last weekend, we had a bad ice storm here in the Dallas area...a place where drivers freak out if it's even raining...I saw more rear wheel drive v8 pickups in the ditch than anything else...my front wheel drive Turbo Mini Cooper just trucked right along past 'em all!

I saw that! It's crazy how little snow you can get in TX and it's an emergency. Not to down play it, but just pale in comparison to Buffalo blizzards and Canadian snow storms. I guess it's because down south you guys aren't prepared with plows and salt.

We've got the plows and sand/salt...but we usually don't get snow, it's ice...and even with a 4 wheel drive, it just means that all 4 wheels skid. With snow, you can get some traction; ice, not so much.

Morning Wood! We act much the same when the sun appears here, everyone loses control :). We where enjoying a fine day hiking in the sun in our local mountains on July 4th until the snow started to fall and temps dropped to 37.

i wonder if this would be any good in the heron/spheroid. might have to braid it a little...

In the democratic process(unlike our governments) forged by our family of GP on the interwebz communal space waves, we have concluded that GP fluff is far superior than metals, cotton balls, barbed wire fencing, pine cones, denim, animal fur, compost and cereal.
Fluff has spoken! As have a sheet or two, I would be happy to send some upon your purchase of said AWESOME Heron to sample.

I got my Spheroid gently used and the fluff I got is just from a pet store. I should see if Perseas can send some of the GP fluff with my Heron … ?

In July that's nuts. Quite a turnaround I'd say! I always wanted to experience mountains. We don't really have them around here. I am trying to plan a western train ride next fall to Colorado. See some of the central and a tad of the western side of the US. Farthest I've been is all down the east coast. And the Bahamas.

Many, many years ago I had to go on a business trip to Toronto. In February. They were having record low temps. High was -30F. I grew up in Oklahoma City, we did get snow, and it did get cold. When I walked outside from the airport, I felt like someone had sucked all the air out of my body...and it was so dry that I shocked myself touching the car door handle.

I am sorry about the taste. I have had no issues. The VapourArt filler imo is the best and have tried others. I have 4 Spheroids and many high end attys including Ithakas. In terms of flavour and all around vape experience the spheroid wins for me. Comparing it to a doodlebug is not fair but the spheroid holds its own.
It is so simple yet amazing.
I have sent a bit of sera wool out and would be happy to send some out to you for comparison. PM me and I can mail some out tomorrow if you wish.
I also would like to know how you are setting it up including the amount of filler. The last I would offer is that it may be your wick (boil that as well) I can send some Ekowool as well if needed.
Check out King P's tips thread as there are setups that may help.

I apologize if this has been rehashed to death... is the GP filler material that originally came with my Spheroid the same as the Sera Wool that Wal-Mart sells? I've rebuilt this Spheroid numerous times now and it's time for a 180 degree juice/flavor change. I want to replace the filler material but I'd hate to stuff it with something sub-par and find that I took a huge step backwards in vape quality.

I will send a bit in my Canadian care package to my fellow lover of ink soon, eh.

Your apologizing for asking questions. You should apologize for apologizing :).
It is not the same. Not close imo. The GP fluff is a perfect medium for juice. I have a ....on of sera wool not ever to be used again. First pm gets the Crap. I bought it on amazon. It works but more maintenance and shaping issue. The fluff just wicks better and rinses out easily on the bell without shape loss, a quick dry and boom ready for new flavor. Along with the better wicking you will find out much easier to cut and manage.
Perseas was kind enough fo send plenty for many here to try and I mailed it all out per a list we had and then plenty more. I am sure I offered to mail you out some but....but....you hath forsaken my love.
Pm your addy and I will send some happily to try my friend. It will already be boiled.

Oh great. I just bought some. Are there any stateside alternatives on par with GP's? I got the Sera name off of the vapourart site, thought it was the same stuff.

Ummm... that was some 2mm pre-boiled German Silica that I declined but you graciously sent a boatload anyway along with the Penelope. :D And thank you very much as it kicks ... in my current builds.
