Im eagerly awaiting my paps lux, but I was wondering if there was any solid info on the gold contacts. What are some of the results of these contacts. What is the voltage drop on per say a 1.5ohm atty with a 18350 battery fully charged?

I will be finding out soon in a few days as mine should be here but I don't have anything to measurements voltage drops etc, so I would just like to see some numbers or hear perseas experience.

Thanks alot guys

Many factors can affect a voltage drop such as the battery's internal resistance, which grows after a few circles of charging, the size of the battery -18500 and 18650 have less voltage drop, the kind of battery etc. There is an interesting reading about all these parameters here.

An estimated gain in the aforementioned case of 1.5 Ω resistance with a 18350 tube is 0,15-0,20 V, compared with a 18350 SS mod with brass conducts.

I'm not sure I ever reported back on this...A while back I wrapped the ekowool in a thin strip of 500 ss mesh. I was mainly checking the wicking and if the mesh would hold the juice or more juice on the coiled portion of the wick. I also wondered if it would allow the wick to last longer.
While there is a bit of a "cool" factor in the looks, I quickly found that the setup is probably not worth the extra time. The coiling is much easier and the heated surface area on the wick is def larger but...., with the size of the bell and air chamber perfectly designed there is no benefit imo.
The coil/wick is already going to produce x amount of vapor which is genorous and I didnt see a noticable difference in speed in which the coil/ss heat up, vapor production or flavor. In fact I enjoy ekowool flavor over ss wick flavor all day.
I also find no better wicking or ability to hold the juice. I think mathmatics would prove that your coil and only burn x amt of juice in a givin time.
There is a good video in this thread that shows the same set up with a ton of vapor but I am willing to bet that I can and have produced equal or more vapor with some of my setups using ekowool.
In closing I think much of the reason that the Spheroid was developed was for simple set up, simple maintenance and for a quality vape. I find no reason to add another step of adding another variable to the quick set up. Thanks Perseas.

I have posted this pic before but this is vapor production with only ekowool wick and no mesh.

Not as nice as the leather ones but if you are out on a more tactical outing such as hiking, bouldering or whatev look at Mini Maglite or flashlight holders such as this maybe. My pockets seem to be my choice so far :)

Rothco AA Mini Maglite Holder, ArmyGuyz.com

Nice one there Idaho.
And did I mention that I had also ordered some earlier - and at 'peanuts' price as well?

Went ahead and ordered this today...

1. $5.22, Where: Fasttech Kevlar 80D
2. $2.02, Where: Fasttech X-Power Nylon

Holy cow, VERY nice set up. Dang... now you're gonna get me lookin for one of those now, lol.

Strange thing about this 'alubronze'... mine seems to actually be tarnishing faster than the brass button. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around? Gonna need to get some wipes soon.. I wanna keep it shiny.

The button is gold plated on silver on brass. Try not to use abrasives on it
