Thanks for your response - I'm glad with the way it darkens likely the tube darkens - don't know if it can be polished, too, when I decide the tube to be 'new' again. Just wanted to ask, because I was concerned if my baby is fine :)

You're welcome, in any case, whenever you feel concerned, I am a PM away :)

if you are wondering if the button itself is gold plated, you can take it out of the switch housing and look at the parts that rub up against the switch body, a bit of the gold plating should have rubbed off from normal use and you can see silver underneath (this is normal btw, gold is very soft). if there is silver there, your button is gold plated.

perseas what kind of other accessories will be in-stock? also i'd love to buy a spare 350 tube when theyre available. :)

There was much talk about a 350 tube but unfortunately these are the serialized tubes so they will not be making them as spares, If you provide proof that your tube was destroyed he might be willing to get a replacement made though.

If the 2.5 paps is available on Friday will there be an drop down box option to order it in the brushed finish ?

UKP*, as of now the Paps v2.5 SS is 'only' available in "brushed" finish, AFAIK.

i thought there would be un-serialised 350 tubes?

When I read this, I'm not sure if it should happen or not:

My button has got patina the same way as the '350 tube (serial 0463) and has darkened and lost shinyness the same tone - I always thought it looks great by the way ;)

feature or problem? :)

My guess... There may have been a batch of buttons that got plated but weren't plated to spec. I don't know much about the process but it's my understanding that good plating requires the application of several layers... If this is true, I's suspect that ours my have simply received a single layer... Bear in mind that the above is pure guess work with no hard evidence to back it up. For all I know, we both have a skin chemistry that eats through gold plating...

my lux button issue was not tarnishing, but rather in the center of the button the gold had worn away revealing the silver. I shot Perseas an email about it since i will be making an order on Friday (i hope to at least) in case he needs to send me something to help remedy. my issue appears to be caused by the button not being threaded enough at the top where the nut attaches. therefore it stick out too far from the ridges causing it to be worn from standing on a flat surface... i also have issues with misfires at times but its not consistent. hopefully a new lux button and nut (not the whole switch assembly) will resolve both issues but i will wait for Perseas to give advice

Yea... I think you're right. Seeing them side by side, they definitely look different. Mine and Bots look like the same thing. Yours is still very shiny around the edges. Mine and Bots are actually tarnishing evenly all the way to the edges of the button.

i think you may have either had the nut on the wrong way, (on all 3 of mine there is a specific way the nut has to thread on, depending on which side is up) or it came unthreaded a bit, this sometimes happens to mine after i clean it and dont put the nut on tight enough, usually it'll start firing when i set it down and thats how i know
