Am I alone in wondering why my lux has been stuck in bulgaria for two days? DHL reports that shipping info has been received but nothing else :(

Apologies if this is somehow expected, but my other two overseas shipments have tracked just fine and arrived quickly.

this is normal, usually they ship very quickly but sometimes theres a hang-up or they need to do something before they can ship one of your parts. but perseas would know best.

Is that picture photoshopped? cuz that coil looks too perfect! nice..:D

Funny, they arent, Kiba has(wick OCD) as I. He is also not kidding about his fingers. They are actual sausage. He was gifted and is praised highly at football games for the sheer size as he does not have to buy a foam finger.
He has to sleep with his hands in a protective device or his cat tends to love sausage.

But none the less, Kiba is the man.

DHL may not have updated the shipment. Patience, it will arrive as expected! Good thoughts.

after your done wrapping it you pull on the ends to shorten up the bunny ears, then clip the extra with a nail file. here is that same wick setup on a kaypaps

Just got a K-Lite. I am going to have to try this. Thanks. Is the ekowool that much better than standard silica?

Personal preference N. Eko seems to hold a better wick and rinse better. It is really subjective when deciding. It is all I use in all atty's.
Many use it due to the health risk of silica. There are so many threads on comparing the two. I have read many articles from reliable sources and have done my own comparison as Kiba has as well.
Russian ekowool is superior. Please beware of eko sold in the US labled, "made with real ekowool fibres". If you must order from the US then get it from Steam Monkey. I just ordered 100 meters of eko from the Motherland Russia(clean and authentic) and there is a huge difference to the funky tasting crap sold here.
One other item, Do not confuse Nextel with ekowool. Nextel is a synthetic produced by 3M that is all sorts of bad news imo. Some swear by it but, it will never enter my Vape Den.
Im happy to send a bit of eko for you to try.

EDIT - ekowool is measured by inside diameter and is hollow from 1.0 up.
3M will not sell Nextel on the premise of vaping. It is a wire insulator that was found by some guy geetering on vape material, I feel whomever it was may be into stealing copper pipe from construction sites to buy .... LOL.

If your shipping status hasn't been updated it is because it hasn't been shipped yet. In the announcement for the 6th batch Perseas wrote that the orders will be dispatched during Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This means that the remaining orders will be sent tomorrow (probably around 6pm Athens time) and we will then begin to see frequent shipping status updates.

Clarifications -

Ekowool is a brand of silica cord and is 98-99% SiO2.

Most Ekowool cord available was hollow (1, 2, 3 and 4mm), the exception being 1.5mm which has always had threads inside. "Silica threads inside" is now available in 1.5mm, 2.5mm and 3mm (in addition to hollow).

:)

Current specifications from ekowool.com

2mm and 1.5mm, with "blobs" due to the internal threading. I'm hoping they have addressed their manufacturing issues with the non-hollow cord as the blobs would make it a challenge to pull the 1.5mm through a coil when wrapping a "figure 8". I've only ever seen non-hollow 1.5mm., which doesn't negate that you have hollow 1.5mm (- and original post edited).

Jacoji, every article that I have read is that it is a different chemical composition. That is the reason it is not sold as weaved silica. Silica definition is a very broad one and a big factor is the % of glass fibre that is contained. China, the big producer, ranges regularly from 4-8%+ of glass. This is why it is becoming known as the new cancer stick. There are also too many variations of other ingredients to keep up with. Point is, many silica brands have no standard composition.
Ekowool, yes contains silica but, one of different material components than random glass and sodium. Torch silica and it may flare up yellow, this is called a sodium flare and is burning the sodium that is in the glass in the silica. Torch authentic ekowool and it will not as the silica composition is completely different.

In fact the site you quoted, uses SiO2≥98, and a glass - sand that is applicable for nano-silica can be widely used in ceramics (sugar) porcelain, gypsum, batteries, paints, adhesives, cosmetics, glass, steel, fiber, glass, and many other fields of environmental protection products for upgrading. This is real Ekowool, it is not simply braded silica as many use the term too loosly. The reason for the silicon is obviously for heat resistance but it is the composition that differs.
I suppose I should have said that they are the same but different or they are different but the same....
anyway back the strippers.
