Wow, that's good to read that, others are right, you're a king Perseas ! :)

Perseas is top-notch for sure. I believe he cares more about your enjoyment of GP devices than the actual purchase. Service after the sale is certainly a focus, and one Perseas performs well at.

Good stuff Team GP!

Good stuff Team GP!

Thank you my friend, I've been smoking for 30 years and against all oppositions and suggestions, I enjoyed my rolling tobaccos, 40-50 per day, till the moment I tried an electronic cigarette, just for fun. Next day, I couldn't smoke my lovely cigarettes anymore.
Therefore, I understood what it matters more at the end of the day, is the experience, not only the product itself. If a simple ecig is enjoyable then a mod has to be superb. :)

We concluded to a solution for the AFC, I will describe tomorrow in detail how it will be done.

Even 316SS will corrode if exposed to certain liquids long enough. There is no such thing is 100% stainless steel. 316SS is about as close as one can get to true stainless. Anything more, and a Spheroid would cost $500+ to produce.

I received a Spheroid a while back that I purchased in the Classifieds, which had never had the base opened for cleaning. There was some corrosion in the base, where the pole and bottom insulator go. I considered buying a replacement base, but the damn thing works perfectly, and more importantly, this cannot possibly get into the Spheroid's main chamber where the vapor is produced and delivered. More evidence of just how well designed and built these little f(&%$ers are.

I take apart, clean and rebuild my Spheroids every 2-3 weeks, with no such effects on the other Spheroids. Therefore, it would take months of exposure to liquids without cleaning to cause this. Any SS object, of any grade SS, would corrode with this type of abuse. The difference 316SS makes is, if you scrub off or remove the corrosion with chemicals, the corrosion will stop, whereas inferior SS grades (non-surgical) would likely continue to corrode.

Addendum: and, to show everyone my mouth and my money are politically aligned, I just traded my KFL for a third Spheroid.

I don't think it is rust, because the Spheroid is made from 316 SS. Every unit pass through ultrasonic bath and we recommend the unit to be cleaned before the use with a soap solution. There are videos of how to open and clean the Spheroid in our site. The interior of the base, works as a collector tank and it needs to be cleaned initially and occasionally. If it is never cleaned, use a toothbrush and a soap solution, or a ultrasonic cleaner if you have one.

Hi folks,

I am sure this has been asked before but I cannot find an answer.

I am using a kayfun 3.1 ES which I love nearly as much as my rapidly expanding paps collection. Does the Svoemesto hybrid adaptor ring work on the paps? I am guessing not, that would be too easy, but hope someone has an answer to save me spending money just to find out.

If not does anyone know of any hybrid solution, I would really like to make this look even better, and the kayfun is perfect for hybridising as it air hole is on the side. I did find the 510 hybrid adaptor but it doesn't look too great from what I see in the pics, I would much prefer something that goes directly onto the kayfun in place of the bottom cap.

Perseus- any chance you guys would consider making a kayfun top cap? There seem to be a lot of folks using the kayfun and a kayfun paps hybrid would be epic! If only you made a 22mm spheroid!

Hybrid Connectors which fit on Paps:
1. Team Rampage
2. Senio Mods

About the 22mm Spheroid, Perseas confirmed that it's under consideration / works, but haven't yet fixed a/ny timeframe on it AFAIK (Month+, doubtful). I'm stalking for it too, especially if it comes with an Alu-Bronze Sleeve!

Thanks qorax, I am ideally looking for something like the semovar hybrid adaptor, I.e. a bit more robust. I will go for the 510 adaptor if nothing else is available and when stock arrives.

SvoeMesto SM V3 "hybrid" connector - Semi-Polished - Cloud 9 Vaping

I'm not sure it'd work on Paps. Try removing the bottom cup from your 3.1ES and see if the naked Kfun screws on your Paps w/out the top cap. If it doesn't - then that SM Hybrid Connector definitely won't. I'd try it today when I go home too (you gave me an idea;)).
