In other news, this morning was rewick/build morning, and I attempted to build the Killer705/SnP combo. No joy, as Q would say. Can't get the Killer past the second o-ring on the bottom cap. I did refer to the vid by Leo. It smoothly passes through the first o-ring, but seems to "lock" before passing through the second. Why yes, lube was applied, and I'm using the red o-rings.

After losing some flesh, I decided to retreat. ;)

I noticed there aren't many tutorials for the Killer; perhaps, I am the only one in the universe that requires web assistance?

Though I could lately hit it well with the Killer I think the SnP is more suitable for the Diver.

I removed the bottom cup of the Killer and slid it thru the base cap of the SnP by inverting it over and applying some serious pressure while keeping it rested over a folded hand towel on the table.

However, two things happen when the Killer is in the SnP. (1)The base cap here being tad thicker - the bottom cup of the Killer gets so dug inside that the juice-holes has less space for doing its job; AND (2)Since the Killer 'requires' infrequent fiddling with its juice-control for proper wicking, the SnP's well known sturdiness (in it's 'O' rings) gets in the way - making this a difficult proposition. But it worked eventually.

QUESTION: What drill-bit size should I use to make my coils? How many wraps should I do?

ANSWER: It's not 'how many wraps' you do, or 'on what you do'... the important thing is the 'length' of your wire - this is what determines your end resistance - the Ωs you are targeting. Use any Resistance Wire Calculator to find that out, something like >this< and then wrap that length of wire on any suitable* drill-bit, needle, toothpick, metal nail, whatever:

*By 'suitable' I mean a size which could comfortably 'sit' on the deck of the Atty.

Conclusion: The Killer705 hits the PO soon, and the hunt for Diver begins.

Live and Learn

My Divers hit the PO as fast as 'soon' could be :D I stick with my Killer instead. Better still, fetched the ΣΟΦΙΑ (SOPHIA) - the Loren of Carto-RBAs;)

We all are different, aren't we? :)

Indeed Q. The whole carto tank/rba combo may not be for me all together. Since I have a spare 23mm, I'm thinking of letting a Killer/SnP combo go together, and wish the next person luck in assembly ;)

Have you received and set up the Sophia yet? Mine has finally landed on American soil...

Not yet brother... this week it should be;) Eagerly waiting!

Ahh, so you are in the same boat I am. The black hole that is vape mail, lol. I was stalking the past discussions of diver vs killer and the consensus seemed to be split down the middle, so I decided to skip them both all together and found the Sophia. =)

Good choice. Having used both - and since talked with few of the guys who already have it - I believe the ΣΟΦΙΑ (SOPHIA) is a better choice... might just be the epitome of Carto-RBAs for a while.

Ya I looked at that one but decided to pass because I think it's still overly complicated for what it is.

I like the adjustable airflow of it but would have to give it a big ole pass because of the juice control and the size. I use standard tanks and really don't want the top sticking that far out the top..

It's nice don't get me wrong but after wanting to burn my last Killer at the stake, I think I will pass..

Yeah, that's the one thing that I am skeptical about, the overall length of it. So I also ordered the tube with the integrated drip tip. Plus, I was thinking that the SnP could be extended with a longer piece of glass...

I put a Bedazzle regular Zen size tube on one of my SNP tanks, so I could use my killer in it with it sitting flush. Maybe that could be an option for you.....

Experimenting with Nitride of Titanium coating over 316 SS for the GP PAPS X and the SS SnP tank. The non adjustable AFC X ring is here also. We are testing now its effect in conductivity and its resistance to scratches.

if you need someone to test those out for you, I am sure I could help find someone.

I am pretty sure you have his address too :) ok, off to work!
