It is very stealthy combo :)

I received mine a few weeks ago, and like you, realized immediately that it was a perfect fit for the spheroid. Almost like he made them just for them :)

odd question to ask of you both (perseas/the ob): is the mini-gen a quality mod?

i stealth'd my piccolo & spheroid through 3 days of jury duty - can't imagine it getting much better than that ;)

Mini stick is a different beast from Piccolo, you may need a longer drip tip, because it tends to disappear in your palm and it is a quite solid construction. The locking ring is very precise and you can lock it with a flick of your thumb, reminding to me of a zippo lighter :)

EDIT:

Sorry, I thought you were speaking about mini stick from the same maker, I've no idea about the mini gen.

We are experimenting with Nitride of Titanium for parts of GP PAPS X, but we don't like semi permanent approaches like coatings that eventually will wear off, no matter how good they are.

Of course, we don't even think of using this alloy for the switch or the 510 connection, anything beyond 316 SS in the moving parts creates issues after a while.

We love simplicity and I don't know yet, if the addition of brushed/polished aluminium bronze extensions or/and brushed/polished X rings would add anything essential to GP PAPS X's exterior form.

The microstick is great as Perseas mentioned. It is perfect with the piccolo too. I personally was not crazy about the mini-gen. I find it to be difficult to build personally. The build area is very small and somewhat difficult to work with IMO. that is why I use the spheroid with it. That is just my humble opinion though :)

GP Paps vs GP Paps X, what's the different? Which one should I go for? Looking to advanced from my Smok Magneto to something of higher end.

Thanks :)

Both!! =) But honestly, you can't go wrong with either one. There are several differences so I would start over here.

Hi, Welcome Aboard!

~The Paps-X is 23mm. It is sectional, which means you buy one device and can utilize it for all sizes of batteries. It's internals are Silver plated (better conductivity) and has an AFC (Air-Flow Control) Ring.

~The Other Paps (Lux and SS) are 22mm. Comes only in 18350 mode. Thus if you prefer other battery sizes - you will need to purchase additional tubes.

~While on the 22mm Paps, it's worth mentioning that the Paps-LUX is the only mech.mod in the globe which is made of Aluminium-Bronze. It has a different color than the regular Brass mods (it is more vibrant and fairer gold) and has 24K Gold over Silver contacts inside -- that along with the pioneering tube - give conductivity a whole new meaning.

Each Paps has a different purpose and thus has a place by itself in one's vape life. Which is why most of us here possess each type/model of Paps. Nonetheless, having at least one is just plain unavoidable for a vaper;) If you vape - you must have a Paps.

Needless to mention here that the After Sales Service of Team-GP is second to none. It is a team par excellence.

Hope that gave you some insight - assisted in your decision - or did it make it more difficult?

Shoot us anything here and someone will come up with a concrete response for you.

BTW, decency is not just a need here - it is our virtue! We intend making friends along our common journey!

Thanks qorax, it sure help solve my uncertainty, I particularly love Paps Lux very much, by combining Paps Lux + Additional Tubes, I will get Paps Lux X :2cool:

Yup, it all started with VapourArt fb & twitter "Vapourday" post I saw this morning, had been spending hours going through specs and designs for both Paps & Paps X.

For now, #VapeBudget wise, I have set my calender, and will try to grab at least the Paps Lux + Additional tubes for now

thanks again :)

p.s. Forgot to mention, both Paps-X & Paps Lux review by Scott (igetcha69) too gave a better picture

SNP tank question...has anyone else noticed that when using the carto tool it shreds a little of the inner oring each time you take it in and out? I think I finally have this little guy running..without leaking have noticed this issue.

Idaho..have I told you lately that you rock:headbang:

Why thank you Iowa! You :headbang: too!
Are you using the carto tool to insert your diver or carto into the SnP? This will help the sharp edges of the metal from shaving the rings a bit. I have replaced quite a few in the beginning without the tool but, with it I get good life and just replace as maintenance now.

Also make sure you are coating the tool and carto with a bit of juice or PG.
Hey, one thing that may help with the spinning thread cover on the SnP is to use the stiffer brown o-rings in the cap as they will create more tension on the tank and reduce spin.

#VapeBudget concerns, for now Paps Lux with additional tubes, maybe a Paps-X for next Vapourday, cheers!

Mars, as stated, get both! I, and many others that occupy this thread, own all 3 versions of quality produced by Team GP. Each having its own place in rotation.

Per your thoughts on your vape budget, which I totally get, you stated you would purchase the Lux w/ additional tubes. Purchasing the Lux with additional tubes will bring you to the same money spent as buying one X, which handles all battery configs. In fact, buying just ONE Lux and ONE additional tube option will bring you to the cost of the X, which, again, will handle all configurations; 350, 500, 650 & kickable.

Though I can't say buy one or the other, because I love all 3, I would certainly purchase the X for its versatility for the money spent.

Again, bringing this topic back to the middle of the road, you can't go wrong with either purchase. :D
