Thank you to Xtreme, after all this time and wicks I now run Lily Sugar n Cream in all Spheroids. In fact, the original that I was giving updates lasted almost 3 weeks. I found the fluff contact pulled many cotton hairs out. Although cotton is not as structurally sound as my Eko or silica, I am moving completely away from all medium except cotton.
If you are looking for good cotton balls check out Walgreen organic. I still use a bit of cotton from pharmaceutical companies as well.

That's exactly what I have been using in my kayfun. Organic cotton from Walgreens. The ekowool is designated for protank heads for now. Cotton is AMAZING!!!

Great cotton loop. This allows me to have maximum fluff/cotton contact as the cotton spreads and flattens onto each side of the air tube onto juicy fluff.

Looks great , is that one piece in a figure 8? Also, I'm guessing from the look of it that's cotton yarn ? I generally use cotton balls or the cotton / hemp hybrid wick in my picture above.

It is and prefer it in most builds. The cotton loop in the kayfun mini is perfect as the cotton is much more pliable and lays nicely in the small area.

Perseas, are you still using your kayfun mini a bit?

No, I haven't it anymore bro, it was too long and too many parts for my taste, although it s a very well machined small atty.

It is too long and you know well that your threads are superior to the Germans who produce it. I still explain to people your threads are hydraulic and feel like I dipped the threads into 30W oil as they smoothly glide together.

I sold my Kayfun 3.1 and traded my KFL for a 3rd Spheroid because too often I would build and get either leaks from the air holes or frequent dry hits. Many others never get these issues, but I guess my build style is not suited to these attys.

My Spheroids work flawlessly every build with the generic 2mm dual strand using either Ekowool or cotton yarn. My Ithakas are champs with dual 2.5 ohm coils hitting 1.2-1.3 ohms and cotton yarn, so it isn't a complexity issue with the KFs (Ithakas are more complicated, and as I build them now, a LOT more complex than KFs).

My personal favourites are the Kayfun Lites and the Spheroids. Both behave similarly ~ gr8 vape satisfaction, easy to build ~ besides, are minimalistic in design and look sweet!

Both have their firm place in my vape lair ~ the Kayfuns are for the 22mm mods, while the Spheroids adorn my 14500 devices. There is also a 3rd topper which I found recently (newly introduced) and vapes extremely well, the Sophia ~ a CE2 build Carto-RBA. This one graces my 20mm mods with a tank.

And together, these three rock my world.

I find it interesting that most people run the Diver without incident, and then a few cannot get them to run without leaks. I also see most people running their Ithakas effortlessly, and then a few cannot get them to work no matter what they do. Same goes for the Spheroid.

Let's face it, even the best of the best will only hit 90-95%. What you will see in ALL the threads is a combination of praise and problems, say 60/40 for these devices, but what is missing is the mass of users who never post, who are perfectly happy with these devices.

For example, if you judged based on ratios of joy and issues on the Spheroid, you'd think she was a finnicky, diffficult atty. But we all know how many have been sold, and we all know that they sell out in minutes when they become available - and they last for seconds in the classifieds.

This tells you the reality - there are thousands in use, with a few dozen users who can't get them to work for them.

I actually traded my KFL for a Spheroid from someone who LOVES the KFL, but couldn't get the Spheroid to work properly. I have been using her Spheroid for a few weeks now, and it works perfectly, as well as my other two Spheroids. Meanwhile, in her hands, my KFL is running perfectly.

Yep, very true ~ we all are different!
And different ways we vape as well. Which is one of the reasons why some attys will fail some ~ b'coz not all are supposed to be vaped similarly... the Kayfuns are one such. Peeps coming from cartos will definitely flood it and have 'weeping' air-holes, until they get the hang of it.

On Spheroids: I've noticed differently though. I've observed most put it into classies mainly b'coz of the lower juice capacity, lack of a window (to know their juice levels) and b'coz of its form factor (which was going against their perceived 'uniformed look' notion with their mods, unless they had a 14500 device). I have PMs galore confirming it was not b'coz of their build deficiencies. Most built it well ~ just that the tanking was not enough, or the look.

On the Divers: Once again, my observation is different. I found ppl getting frustrated with it's 'leaking' syndrome. No, it was not me alone ~ there is a good chunk of the mass who cannot do with the 'daily morning clean-up' process. The Diver performs well once you build it right and might not leak if you use it most of the time (one atty to go with) ~ but put it into rotation, leave it on standby and the juice built-up commences on the 510. I purchased two ~ and...

ID, can you shoot me a link to the correct Lily Sugar & Cream to buy. I have recently started using cotton in my drippers, and would like to try in my Spheroid and KFL. TIA my friend.

Hi Perseas,

I was super excited to receive my package today (polished/brushed vase type GP drip tips and some GVC)...however when I opened it, the only item in the package was the GVC!! The package did not have any holes or appear to be opened in any way, so it appears that someone forgot to put the drip tips inside before it was sealed. Could you please resend my drip tips? Thanks
