qorax, thanks for the info. Based on that, it is a v1 - no wire.

perseas, let me mess around with it, I just replaced all the plastic insulators and the center pin with the ones from the replacement base I just received. If that doesn't fix it...

I cannot figure out what one has to do to break a Spheroid in such a way as to get it to leak.

I have a ton of new Spheroid parts including posts, nuts, insulators, o-rings etc. and you know I would send it all to you brother if needed. I got the screws btw, Thank you very much. Shouldn't be long on the package to you.

I got very lucky as my purchase from someone I knew I could trust. I'm holding out for Domo to receive the Spheroids for my second purchase. The classifieds can be great or a real bust, it's always a gamble. Sometimes I think the people selling the items don't really know what they have.

Maybe if I include a GP Paps X in the cup holder, I'll be allowed to sell my car in the ecf classys, I'll hafta ask a mod sometime :p

What's up everyone hope your Sunday is going good almost football time go Bears! Anyhow has anyone tried a chimney coil with there spheroid ? I'm thinking about trying let me know if that and the micro have been discussed already thanks.

If micro refers to microcoil, then yes a few of us users are wrapping micro setups in our Spheroids w/ cotton wicks. I'm currently testing the SnC yarn in my Spheroid. Didn't pull much flavor but tons of vapor. I shelved it for a day, and will try it again later.

Thanks Digital, ya wondering about the micro coil more in the chimney up and down folks have been doing. I use micro's with cooton on a few of my kfl's the others get ecowool as well as my spheroids (ecowool) Was gonna try cotton in spheroids but thought it would be to limp.

Although I'm sure I could have done it better , I tried a chimney in my Spheroid and for me it wasn't worth the hassle.

perseas, Idaho:

I did have enough extra white insulator bits to swap out in the base. Looks like the issue is resolved.

Just for my education: which parts are definitely NOT compatible between v1 and v2? I know the insulators are compatible - in fact, based on the fit, the v2 insulators seem a bit tighter and better-fitting than the ones that came with the v1, but that could just be that the originals were worn out.

Also, i just went through a whirlwind rebuild of all my attys except my drippers. Since I had created about 786238746287 R/NR wires using 28g Kanthal A-1 for microcoils, I actually rebuilt my 3 Spheroids using R/NR. No need to, of course, but this eliminates that very tiny chance of doing something stupid and leaving a hot leg where the wires connect to the posts.

All I can say is, I am never going back. There is a meaningful improvement in vapor and flavor, especially vapor. Grant's in this config is, well, wow, Jesus.

I urge everyone to try this. My other gauge wires will sit fallow, next to my now ignored Ekowool. Microcoil on cotton is my only option for all my attys.

Your Spheroid is v2 with the old logo. The v1 has base and bottom cap with right handed thread, it hasn't the same 510 pin, the interior of the bottom cap is different and lacks of the v2 plate insulator. A soldered wire runs from the positive post to the 510 pin. Initially the insulators of v1 and v2 for the positive post were from soft plastic and they were replaced with others from PEEK type 2, when we changed the logo.

hi everyone! Nice to see so many familiar faces!...so Idaho and Qorax have been raving about paps and I must admit, I have always admired it but I have not had the pleasure of using it.

Now that I am GAGA over the Sophia and have gone back to basics with the tanks, I am itching to get the SnP tank. I'm sorry if I missed the dates but can anyone tell me when the next run will be?

thanks so much!

I'm so glad I wasn't at the game. It was tornado delayed for almost an hour and they moved all the ticket holders to the Field Museum across the street. It's back on right now and I'm enjoying it on my couch with my Paps 2.5 SS and my new flat top cap with my new KFL+. Since there've been so many posts about it, I thought that I would similarly vape my precious remaining GVC.
