Piccolo was release? I read some people saying they picked it up?
So did I. Although I am very happy for those people, I am very sad that I missed it.

I wick it with Sugar n Cream cotton yarn, doubled, and trimmed to just touch the fluff.

So I just tried another build with the coils built diagonally this time and the same 4 wraps 28g kanthal, 2 fold 2 mm silica at .74 ohms. It's a little better but still not a good taste. Maybe I need to up the ohms and use 30g silica, instead of 28g. Perhaps the higher heat 28g is heating the coils too fast for the best wicking for this type of device? What I mean is the heat of the coils is too fast for the liquid flow production coming from the liquid emerged in fluff. Btw, I'm noticing the body of the Spheroid heats up quite a lot. Is this typical?
It's the low ohms heating up the body. Bring your ohms up, and this should demenish. We use the stock materials when setting up the Spheroid.
Thanks Akdare. I want to use silica at this point to get the flavour profile right. I do micro coil and cotton on my Kayfun, for example with great results. I probably prefer silica on this device because I don't want to have to worry about dry burns of the cotton, without a clear tank to know the juice level. I assume silica should also produce great flavour if built properly.
Here is a pic of my current setup with still poor flavour.

I just got my SnC yesterday and I've done one build in the Spheroid. I'm just looping one end and trimming the other. Are you saying there that you use four lose ends instead of one loop? Does that work better?

Raise the coil up. I lack the ability to draw a nice pic, but it appears that your coil is sitting way too low. Bring it up above the nuts![]()

Sure digitals. I'll raise it up but that's more of a draw and air flow issue and shouldn't necessarily effect the flavour, no? As a matter of fact with less air it should enhance the flavour. Btw, I find the draw is ok with the coils at that level.
I'm going to re-try again with the stock wire that came with the device. Plus I'll raise it up a little. Let's see if that helps.
I agree.
I don't bring mine up as high as digitals, maybe 2mm above the air hole. Also, looks like your tails might be too long. It's important that the ends just touch the fluff to wick correctly, in my experience.

I agree as well, i find more than a 2-3mm above the airhole and it gets a bit harsh. I have been building it more like the kayfun-as close to the air hole as possible-usually around 1mm above. It seems to be to bring the flavour out more and less TH. If the draw is getting tight its nice and easy on the spheroid to whip the base off and lift the coil with a small screwdriver or similar.
I have been having a lot of fun with the spheroid, once I got dialed into it, I thought I probably should share a couple of pics up.
