Another +1 for Lighthound. John is a good guy and runs the business well. I've done business there for 7 years.

Also, while you are there, check out NyoGel. I still haven't figured out why the e-cig industry still uses Noalox :p Vapers need to look at the other industry that has been making metal tubes to hold batteries for nearly 4 decades and learn a thing or two.

Noalox was first recommended to us by modders using aluminum tubes and maybe not such great specs on the threads. It was also used when connecting aluminum tubes to steel and some addy parts and It worked well to keep the soft and hard metals from from freezing up. It was then carried into the SS world by some modders and a lot of consumers, where it is no longer needed IMO. Maybe some China clones could use it? IDK. In our world now, clean threads are the answer...

Rodsky, I noticed you're in Switzerland. Which part? I used to go to Geneva on business from time to time...

I'm in Basel - 2.5 - 3 hours drive from Geneva.

The city with an airport that is actually located on French soil (leased by Switzerland from France) and actually has an exit to 3 countries from the customs area: Germany, France and Switzerland... Kind of cool and weird :)

Take it apart and give it a soapy bath...should fix the issue.

Thanks. I didn't realise it was reverse threaded. Just saw another post mentioning that the nut in the switch is indeed reverse threaded. Pulled it apart and now having a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner.

This talk of Noalox is intriguing me. I picked up a bottle and put it on my Magneto. It made the threads extremely smooth but I was under the impression the biggest benefit is better conductivity resulting in less voltage drop. My magneto definitely seems to hit harder after applying Noalox, but maybe it's placebo.

My Paps SS 2.5 switch is sticking and continues to fire after I release the switch. the throw is very short. Any suggestions on how I can rectify this?

Those VTC4s are great eh. They seem to hold at 3.8v forever.

Absolutely. I started off with 2 VTC3's and found them to be stellar. Once I saw the VTC4's come up it was a no brainer and I snagged 4 of them. The life on them is utterly impressive when you consider the fact they have a 30 amp continuous limit.

Basel is a long ways from Geneva. I've been looking into a river cruise as a vacation...the Rhine looks beautiful...

Have not taken one of those yet - there are so many ships coming through Basel - the cruises vary from a few hours to a few days - there's also a really awesome scenic train trip through the mountains.

Definitely a good choice, the river is beautiful - many things to see along the way.

Well I did disassemble, put it in the ultrasonic cleaner, put it back together but didn't fully tighten the nut this time. The throw is longer and the button is no longer sticking. So I guess it's solved.
