A second batch of GP PAPS v2.5 18350 mods LUX edition and spare tubes for them and SS GP Spheroid v2 atomizers (polished) is coming on Friday 24 May at 15:00 p.m. in Local Time Athens, Hellas at Vapour Art Store.

Spheroid and Lux units have calibrated threads with a level of tolerance 0,05 mm. Both are made from 316 certified European SS. The Lux edition has aluminium bronze tube, CNC engraved logo, new numbering, top and bottom caps from certified European 316 SS, and 24k gold over silver plated brass button and holding nut and 24k gold over silver plated brass telescopic centre post.

The new v2.5 switch has no knurling and now the GP PAPS mod can stand upright without any need of being locked. Due to its small size and the new safety features, it is even more pocket friendly, a perfect companion for the leakproof GP Spheroid v2. As we like to say, its rating for the drunken vaper test is 10/10!

Price is 120 € and only one unit will be available per customer per batch. All orders will be posted from Monday 27 to Tuesday 28 via DHL Express and they will be delivered in 1-4 days worldwide.

Perseas,

Is it correct that the new Lux tube won't oxidize in your hand like was previously stated on one of your facebook posts?

The oxidisation of most copper alloys accelerates when you touch them, except if you have lacquered them beforehand, albeit this may have potential repercussion upon their conductivity. From the other hand, the aluminium bronze changes colours like a chameleon, because of this attribute.

We chose that certain alloy for the additional reason that it is less oily and harder than naval brass or red brass for example. We used CNC engraving to ensure the repetitive polishing by the user will not affect the logo.

I think the post above answered my question but I'll post the question anyway. I have the flat top cap and since I usually vape genesis type attys, I put the flat top cap on my new v2.5 LUX edition that I just received minutes ago. However, it appears that I should either swap out the top cap gold plated parts or put the LUX version top cap back on (which I just did). Here is a pic of the new beauty with a zAtty G attached. I love the way this can be set back on the table without screwing the lock down on the button...

You get a nice patina on the aluminum bronze. Brass becomes dirty and dull in a very short amount of time.

Oh and Perseas I forgot to add that I absolutely love everything about this new beauty from the new lock, gorgeous finish and colors with the aluminum bronze/polished ss top and polished ss button/lock, the no knurling on the lock, no springs to eliminate battery rattle and adjustable top connections. I don't have a Caravela or a Chi You to compare with but I will now stop even looking for either. I already liked the v 2.1 a lot but this version tops it.

Now I just need to find the right genesis atty to put on top of it. The zAtty G works well but doesn't do the PAPS justice in the looks department (at least in my mind). Oh, and I know I'm a poor photographer so I'll try to find a better camera/light/setting etc for another picture..

Anyway, GREAT job Perseas and team :)

I'll send you a new v2 insulator my friend. Today I didn't find time to go to the post office, I'll go tomorrow.

Perseas, I promised myself not to become a fanatic (of any mod) but you're not making this easy! Your customer service is outstanding!

It's a V1 switch I think (with the c-clip). What is the best way to remove the old one? flat head of a screwdriver?

But will that same aluminum oxide on the inside cause problems with the kick or crown?

Thank you for the compliment, we shall do our best to honour that :)

Probably v2 switch, the v1 has an air hole on the bottom of the button. Use a small flat screw driver and tilt the insulator to remove it. The same applies for the c-clip, mind you it tends to fly once it is displaced, work on it in a well lit place.

I have used with my kick and I didn't notice any issue over time.

Quick question: Has anyone experienced a whistling sound when using your Spheroid with a Provari? I worried that I could be attracting dogs or rats! I can be annoying after a while!

The Provari has been designed with the inner lips of the 510 connection at the same height with the outer lips and there is no way to adjust its 510 pin. Therefore, any atty like Odysseus, Penelope, GP Spheroid with bottom air channels cannot sit flush on it, the air flow would stop at once. They have to be raised a little and that creates a whistling noise in some cases, not always, it depends on the height of the 510 pin of the Provari too.

The solution is to have the 510 pin connector of the atty slightly protruded. If it is protruded less than 0,1 mm no connection will be done. If you sand down lightly the 510 connection of the GP Spheroid, the whistling noise will become less, but be careful not to over do it.

Another solution is to tighten the positive pole from inside the base of the Spheroid a bit more, to make the 510 pin connector to protrude less. Open the base as it is described in the video tutorial in our tips and trips section of our site, or on the other GP Series thread here on ECF.

You are correct sir. It's a V2 switch.
