Do you own a volt meter?

I've never had any issues with any of my Paps firing but I've only used AW IMR's. Didn't you say it fired when you first recieved the Paps?

Yes. I do have a multimeter. I've made sure to check my batts regularly. They have not been used below 3.3-3.5 volts and they normally come off the charger at 4-4.1 volts.

It was firing when I first got it, but very inconsistently.

Hi rumthin,

a) I see that u r from the neighborhood, if u desire u could come over to my place this weekend & I could try fixing it for u.
b) I use Efest IMR 18350 Button Top in my Lux, without any issues.
c) Did u disassemble & reassemble ur Switch mechanism? There could be a disconnection of sorts there.

Give me a shout if u desire.

Wow thanks.

I disassembled everything to clean it. The only part I wasn't comfortable taking apart was the delrin in the switch. I just couldn't get it to budge.

The holding nut's surface has to be lower from the firing pin, in other words, the firing pin must protrude slightly.
Flip the holding nut from the other side, if this isn't happening and check again.

I've double checked, and the nut is in it's proper position.

I've read back a bit in this thread, and a couple other people seem to have had the same issue as me but were able to resolve them. Someone mentioned the spring mechanism in the button could be problematic. How can I go about checking if it is the spring that's causing me problems?

I appreciate all the help guys. Thank you.

Brusher and Polisher adaptor (BnP)

BnP adaptor is a small accessory we've designed for the people who want to brush and polish their mods with their Dremel or a device with a larger chock.

It has 2 parts, one part with male 510 connector for mods and the other part with female connector for atomizers.
It is for generic use, so we used 303 SS low grade for its construction, in order its threads to be harmless for mods and atomizers that aren't from 316 SS.

BnP adaptor is under production and soon it will be at Vapour Art Store. The photos above are from a pre production unit.

That is a fine idea! :toast:

Check if the delrin is placed deep enough to permit the firing pin to touch well the bottom of the battery.

The top most part of the firing pin, when fully engaged, protudes maybe .5-1.0mm above the top most part of the black delrin surface. I'm sure it's making a solid connection with the batts, and I've also made sure all three connection points have been polished and cleaned.

I'm so confused.

What is the resistance value you have in your atty? Does the button get hot?

Genius King Perseas, this will be so much easier for me. I have been using modified small blocks of wood for my brushing. I would love a couple.

Currently, I'm trying to get a 1.7 ohm coil on a rsst working on it. The coil lights up nice and evenly on my sigelei, but it doesn't want to light up on my paps. There is definitely heat being transferred to the coils on my paps, but it is very weak and the coils don't actually glow at all.

The button does get fairly hot after a few minutes of trying to get my paps firing properly.

I think that this has to do with the spring, it touches the internals of the switch and creates a short.
It must be dislocated from its place. Or the delrin in the positive post isn't in good shape.

If nothing of the above is happening, return me back the whole mod and I'll send you a new one. I want to inspect that mysterious malfunction.

As a last resort, I'll send the unit back to you, but I'm holding out hope it's just the batts I'm using. I have more batts coming in on Monday, so I'll get back to you if that fixes things.

Thanks for all the input. It's greatly appreciated. :thumb:

Hi rumthin,

I've replied ur PM. I've two Paps and I'm sure we could TEST everything out, interchanging sections of ur unit with mine, when we meet tomorrow.

We both r also using similar setups, Efest IMRs and RSSTs - and my Paps r working super effeciently... so assessing/negating things would be easier. I'm sure there's something we r missing out, overlooking, here... I'm baffled with the problem u r still facing after all those cross-checks... And am also sure it can be 'fixed'.

See u tomorrow.

I use the AC9 (RSST) with all my Paps, no problem. I'm sure Qorax can straighten you out tomorrow :)

That stinks. I will have a little talk with Perseas for you.

A little late for that. Ordered my last 2 on Friday :)

But in all honesty, I wish there was a 'cleared' list for active members that are clearly not scalping for profit. The shipping really adds up.
