a'ight, sooo we were talking about some autosol polish the other day. Some really nice user (thread moves so fast cant remember) suggested Autosol Metal Polish. Now, I believe it was Strike (and myself in the background) who were wondering what polish specifically because amazon has several listed. They have the "Classic Metal Polish Paste", "Chrome And Metal Polish 100G", "Harley Davidson Softail", "Brass Aluminum Metal Polish", " Shine Metal Cleaner", "Can Metal Polish", and who knows what else. So, me wanting to clear up some hairline scratches on a LUX, I chose the Brass Aluminum Metal Polish. Hehehe, when I receive the package, I received a tube that just said "Metal Polish." Since that what was suggested on this thread, I kind of felt relieved even though, it didn't say "BRASS Aluminum Metal Polish." That's what was suggested, but trying to navigate the different marketing of products, heck I was a little confused lol. Here is a pic of what I hope is the correct polish for removing those scuffs and/or hairline scratches that come out of nowhere on the SS X and the X Lux. Someone, anyone feel free to correct this if I am in error... :)

I think that Amazon sometimes has a hard time with its descriptions and many times has the same thing listed with different descriptions. WHen I have questions I go to the official website and get more specific information.

Here is the link to the site and all their products.

Seems they have the one you got, for most metals. THen they have one specifically for Stainless steel, and one for aluminum. I have a feeling they are basically the same? If anyone has the others, Id be interested in the differences in the product, texture etc. They had a more specific item that they describe as "premium" called Durasol.

If anyone has more info from actual use , please share. I remember contacting the company when I was looking to find something that had a slight abrasive quality for those surface scuffs and they said it did have a fine grit similar to the old rubbing compound for car paint scratches but much more fine.

Again, Im no expert, but this might help you get the info straight from the "horses" ( autosol ) mouth.

Twas me. And, perfect. The original. The other products came in later to recently. It only takes a small dab. Get familiar with it. Wear hand condoms it gets messy.
It is the best of the best. I have seen museum like mods polished with it. King Ninja P will back me on this.
We used to have to split a can of it as, it only came in paint cans a while back.

Yeah, that's what made you dizzy.....yep. Surly it wasn't a particular discussion about a 8 watt bb, hot drip tip, mangled ni wire, muted juice or the 7 drinks you had while sucking down some diy peppermint chocolate listening to me. Yep, it was that post. :)

Well ..... I guess I'll have to try the autosol. My mother's has been working great so far but I am curious. Well not my mother's. But my mothers.
How's THAT for dizzy?

Mothers is good stuff man. I use it when I get a new GP mod right after the uc bath. Don't know why but, I do. It's also what I use on the buttons of all my PAPS switches after a good scrubbin.

Hahaha. Well.... That's because you're at 8 watts. Jack that ..... up.
.21 @ 8 watts is the new vape. It's said to have striking flavor compared to only the richness of a Grand Master Piano playing The Swan of Tuonela in an open field where unicorns mate for life on a cool mid spring evening with the mist of true love wrapping your soul in a warm blanket of ecstasy.

Figures........ Late to the party once again.......

I am spending my friday night twisting Kanthal and nickel. I used to enjoy my weekly twist night...... But age and time have taken its toll on my hands. I have contemplated getting one of the Zapper V2 for a while....... I think it might be time to spend the money and get one.

Anyone here ever use the Zapper and how easy and consistent does it work? I know many have given up joining wires because of all those new advanced atomizers.

I know where you're coming from with the hands not working quite as well as they did a few years ago...
I have a zapper that I still use on a couple of set ups. Mine at least works perfectly and consistently. It's only necessary to find the optimum power to wind it up to before doing the zap. Once found - it's very reliable...

I started out twisting NR-R-NR... then bought some ready wires from Stormy's but only used a few because I also bought a Zapper V2 that I've had going on 6 months now. The down side of the V2's $97 cost of admission for me was that I've never had the need to use it much. I've only used the R/NR wires in all of my By Leo Sofia's and Dripper Pro's. But I don't use the DP's anymore because I seldom use any of my ProVari's anymore, and I no longer use RTA tanks at all (except for my one GP SnP 23mm with a Sofia). So the coils made with the V2 have never needed changing in any of the Sofia's/Dripper Pro's.
