I have a couple multimeters but just don't carry them around with me.

It's not a substitute for a multimeter but I have a bunch of pocket voltage indicators that I use at home and bring with me that I periodically use to check my battery level. I can usually tell when my battery goes below 3.7v but I like to get into the habit of checking anyway.

Hi folks. The home for my brand new spheroid arrived today. I needed to colour my world a bit :)

Happy holidays, Perseas ... though you seem to be around a lot for someone who's supposed to be on holidays :D

Hey girly! Nice Gizmo fo sho! Everything went together well I trust. Are you using the supplied efest? If you can would you mind trying an AW IMR if you have one on hand. Love the color. I'm in for the polished myself.

Edit - I agree about Master P,

I may pick one of those up!! It's not that I have "battery" issues/problems, it is totally me that may vape a little longer than I should before switching to a fresh battery!! I was just questioning if I needed to trash the battery for safety sake or if it would damage my mod i habitually drained every battery real low which I don't do habitually but have done occasionally!! It is amazing that I can vape lower than 3.2-3.4 volts and ony have slightly reduced vapor/flavor!! I think that says a lot about using fine gear and attys such as GP/by Leo and Herons/Spheroids/Sophia's!

Those are really nice. I have a couple as well. They come in real handy. Some can even catch a voltage drop...nice Firestorm!

I have the worse luck with 510 ohm meters. Either they die on their own, or my cats kill them. :(

I just bought that expensive one from vaperev. I don't think it is reading right. It is reading way higher than my one remaining ucige. That ucige has always tested true. I need to get my mm out.

Can anyone recommend the best 510 ohm meter?

BTW #1: Certainly I looked! There is a special place in my heart for strippers.

BTW #2: Commando. The only way to go!

BTW #3: I love my GP Family! :)

I'm glad that you asked as mine is dying too. It's an inexpensive one but I only bought it six months ago and I haven't abused it at all. I now have to find the sweet spot position on the switch to get it to turn on. I expected it to last longer. Undependable electronics... that's why I'm into mechanical mods.

I loved my 'newer version' ucige. But, one of the cats killed it. It had a much nicer 510 connection than the older version.

Here are a few links.
This is from RTD

I think these are most of the same ones from Fasttech, I have the 9.99 one, I dropped it, and the case is a bit loose but it works. If you want to save and dont mind waiting, its worth it to pay the extra buck for the bit faster shipping.

Then there is this one that Ive seen a lot of those youtube sub ohm / coil masters use.

I didn't order batteries and only have AWs. I did order extra magnets. I'm at work and haven't had a lot of time to fiddle, but I think I ended up with 2 * 1mm with insulation + 2 * 2mm with insulation (as ordered) plus 2 * 1mm no insulation that they threw in as extras. I've had to use a 2mm with insulation + one of the uninsulated ones. Maybe I just need to fiddle more.

Big throw on the switch, but, with no locking, I guess that's necessary. Been spoiled by my GPs :)

Edit: Oh and hi Ida :D I was wondered whether you ended up buying one.

My X's are both constantly in use. I use them mostly in 500 mode. They get a bit heavy in 18650. Last night I found my Kick II and decided to give it a try. I got it almost 2 years ago and never was able to use it with my ELAs , so its been in a drawer.

It works amazingly well on the X. Perfect performance. Really pleasant, I tried it with my 350 batteries ,but I dont think its a good idea to push it on 10V , plus it has a short lifespan either way. Its giving me quite a long run with the 490/ 500 batteries.

I love the X's.

I think Ive posted a few picts, but since you asked , here you go.....

I have some Kick II's I have never used. Just never got around to it. Why didn't you use it with the ELAs?

I tired, but they always clicked, or misfired, or buzzed. Even with a freshly charged battery they would sputter like when the battery was at its lowest to handle the 10 volts I set it at. I even sent one back , thinking its was a bad Kick. When the replacement did the same, I figured the ELA did not like it. I know many ELa owners said they used a kick occasionally or all the time.

I figured I had a fiddly Kick or a fiddly ELA/s. They are an amazing device, but....
ANyway, I am extremely satisfied with the X's.

You should give it a try. Its nice to use , especially out and about. It seems Im getting a lot longer vape time when using the Kick. I think the Kick will give you a constant performance till the battery goes down to 2.8? Then it just stops working or sputters. I know that its not good to use batteries down 3.5 so I check my 18500's after a few hours and if it reads lower than 3.5 I just switch the battery.

I wasn't using an ELA, but I had a Kick moment long ago where I was at work and using a Kick and it just wouldn't fire. I kept fiddling with it, because sometimes that would fix it, but not this time. I didn't have a larger battery to use instead so I was sort of hosed. I still have my Kick, but I've metaphorically kicked it to the curb as it's dependability was only slightly higher than that of my ohm meter's. I have a few regulated mods that I'd use instead at this point. The only reason that I had a Kick was because I had ordered a $10 mechanical fuse from some place and they must not have known their wares or have being paying attention because they shipped me a $35 Kick instead.

I have a Kicked Saber touch and it always worked flawless. Its not the most advanced device, rather primitive , but it works. I never had a problem even with the original Kick 1. When I had so many problems with a high end mechanical I was surprised.

I see the Kick II on the classifieds for less than half or the original 49.00? Might have to pick up a back up one of these days....

Hey y'all!!! On the ohm reader front, I just acquired one from Sunny Vaping. They make their own chips in them and have been tested to be VERY efficient. They run about $30 shipped though, but come in a multitude of colors and such. Usaohmmeters.com

Cool! Thanks! :)
