A Spheroid v2 tube will work with a Spheroid v3 base - the tube threading to the base is the same. I just bought a v3 base to use with my v2 tube and v2 bell (and I love it).

I don't have a Spheroid v3 tube or bell but from what I've read on the Tips and Tricks thread you should be able to push the bell up from the bottom to remove it from the tube.

Thanks for the quick response. I feel like such a dolt. I've got both the v2 and the v3, so couldn't tried switching them myself! Oh well...
Yes I know about pushing the bell from the bottom (from the inside), I do that with the Heron - which I can get a decent grip on. But the Spheroid is a lot trickier - at least for me.
Now - to find someone with a v2 tube and bell that really wants a v3 tube and bell :hubba:...

What is the recommended procedure for cleaning the brass Gpin?

That's a great question and I'm interested to hear what others say. Personally, I take the GPin apart and polish all of the external surfaces with a sunshine cloth. I find it too difficult to try to polish the inside of the pins and the threads. I also used a silver plating kit on one of my brass GPins, but the plating on both ends of the pins (that make contact with the atomizer and the battery) rub off eventually (but those are the easiest to polish anyway).

What is the recommended procedure for cleaning the brass Gpin?

I take the pins apart, rinse, polish with some autosol. Then I wash with hot water and some toothpaste to get rid of the "paste taste" because one of my main atties is a 510 intake, so if I dont wash I get that autosol taste when I inhale.

Dry well, rub with a microfiber cloth and put it all back together. I do this every few weeks or when I see the brass has a dark, golden amber patina.

With the Odys because they have a 510 air intake, I get a LOT of condensation, I find the inside of the GPin where the little spring is, full of juice, so depending on how much I vape I have to make sure it is not full of juice.

All I can say is that in comparison to the other "high end" devices, the quality of brass and stainless steel is far , far better. I hardly have to clean the tubes, really, they dont tarnish like the other stainless steel Ive had, and even the brass is far superior. The "other" devices brass parts got VERY tarnished so much quicker. These are the little details to not just quality in manufacturing, but pride in using the better materials. GP devices are pricey, but it pays off in the maintenance and time needed to keep them performing at optimal.

Thank you, Mr Perseas.

I know of the GG name to a degree my friend, are we talking ceramic cups here?

Vape On My Friends!

yeh GG is known for using ceramic cups atties which needs NonResistance-Resistance-NonResistance wires but lately he has been releasing rebuildable atties that require only Resistance wire
