Off topic.. Sorry.. Not.. :)

I was married to two very special, unique, and eccentric men. Both are deceased. Some people never get to experience the real thing (head over heels .. rose colored glasses .. madly in love). I had it twice! I feel blessed.

Today, is the birthday of my first husband, Ellwood. My Ellwood was extremely intelligent, educated, incredibly talented, witty, and so much fun. What a gift he was!

Happy Birthday to him! :)

Happy birthday to him my dear! Our beloved ones communicate with our hearts and our memories all the time, we need to just to remember them and smile as you say, that's more than enough :)

Like me, Hubby #1 was a stray. No family to speak of. So, as long as I am around, and can tell the world how wonderful he was, he lives on... And yes, he still makes me smile. :)

There is a very ancient belief that we return into this earth under conspicuous conditions to connect again with our people, only if someone loved us from his heart when we were here alive and kicking, which I accept it wholeheartedly, it make sense to me.

Mourning a loss has to be short lived, later on, contemplating of the life we shared, our heart develops a grateful and tranquil attitude towards things and persons no longer with us, although we are still missing them very much, somehow we know beyond any logic explanation, that we cannot lose them.

Haha exactly! When I first started vaping I would switch between cigarettes and cigalikes.....it wasn't until I got into mods that I gave up smoking altogether. For me it really has to be all or nothing...a buddy of mine that I got into vaping still sneaks cigarettes here and there. I am glad I don't do that anymore!

Guess with jobs harder to come by these days folks have to make allowances. In my working life if a boss or anybody had grabbed something out of my hand like that they'd be enjoying a night sky full of stars for awhile.

I "sneak" some in when I can't go out. Of course my boss' boss came in once and I yanked my microstick away hidden nicely in the palm of my hand.
Kinda sucked holding that vapor in and not being able to exhale it.

Kind of like the neighbor I used to get together outside with several times a day and night for a smoke and visit, sometimes a cold brew that I got to try vaping. He still smokes cigs more often than vapes... his excuse, he didn't buy liquids with a high enough nic content. He switches between what to me are generic brands all the time. I've asked several times that he find out what their nic level was so I could fix his juice for him with my DIY nic... and offered to either buy or make him some stronger many times. Over a year later he still won't go to the bother, so I stopped giving him mods/liquids and won't visit with him if he is smoking instead of vaping. Nice guy, but I'm done trying to help a JA that can be lead to water but can't be made to drink it.

Get 5 Herons. That helps me get through not having a very interesting life.

Have 4 Herons so far, with more on the horizon. It's hard for me now to use any of my other toppers... or mods for that matter. I'm finding that a PAPS and a Heron can't be beat for my uses.

Make sure you adjust the wick amount as Idaho said. But also check the coil height. It's a tad difficult to see in the first pic, but if the coil is above the screws it MAY end up touching the chimney.

I may have this same issue w/ the new heron. Or possibly the cotton topper is off spec? I tried using the 510 connector & kept getting shorts. Switched to the converter w/ better results. If I keep the X slightly loose & kinda fiddle w/ the tubes it seems to be ok most of the time. Will need to investigate further after tonight's work shift is over & my week off begins.

Wait.... You crashed in an airplane TWICE?!

My thought exactly!!! ...???

Twice commercial, twice flying in the Navy (technically once, punched out of a TA-4 the other time and played tag with the sharks while waiting to get picked up).

That's just crazy! I'd be a hot mess after crash #2!

If the coil is above the screws more than it should, you may have shorts, because the topper will touch it.

I have found that a good universal size of fluff for the Heron is about .75" x 2" (~20mm x 50-55mm). I used about this when I vaped GVC in the heron. However I have vaped 50/50, heavy VG and VG only. I tend to add some 50/50 to my VG to dilute it down.

I would start there and adjust if needed. Keep it maybe at just over the 2"/55mm. It's easy to trim some off to find your zone than to add.

Nice! I work for BCBSA(Association) in downtown Chicago. We just have to follow the no smoking within 15ft from the door rule or off the buildings property.

Oh wow! I also work in BCBS here in Jersey, so far they havent implemented anything against ecigs YET. I quit smoking last Jan and vaped since then, I still go to my car to vape though.

Same here. BCBS of Michigan is my main customer and I can vape at my desk. Discreetly though.

You guys wouldn't happen to be in IT? I am and work in the data integration space with a specific software suite... just kicking it around since it would make the annual conferences more interesting and there quite a few bcbs people in the Vegas area in May-ish/June-ish timeframe.

Yes, I'm in IT but the only National conference I attend is the Blue National Summit which I was at almost 2 months ago.

We are going through a huge Informatica migration from AIX to Linux. I have tons of shells scripts to update and installs to do. They have restricted me from traveling more than 50 miles from our office. LOL

Hi Bill !!!!!

I really admire all you above average computer techs. I know enough to do some minor things on Desktops, even rebuilt a few of them with my boyfriend. When it comes to laptops other than swapping out hardrives or adding memory Im very shy.

I have a well loved Alienware laptop that has a problem with one of the graphic cards that is either bad or the SLI cable is loose and it wont boot. It sits in a corner of my room , neglected. I just have not had the money to really have it looked at. Im scared to crack it open and take a look.

IT people are inclined to use web forums extensively?

Aaaah... I'm still a lowly tech so I don't go to summits just conferences my particular specialty - and have hard time getting those...

That's the one I'm thinking of... we have a small AIX installation and now one on a Windows platform... PWX noob here.

Don't be scared. Just crack that bad boy open. Lol. Make sure you have a container for all those screws. [emoji6]

Hi, Anavidfan. If you had another graphics card to swap out and test, that would be a good place to start. I am quite squeamish when it comes to laptops, also. Other than swapping out disk drives, I have very little hardware experience.
So glad to start the 4th of July weekend. Currently vaping HHV Just Peachy through one of the Herons this evening. Nice weather out on the patio. I hope everyone is having a good time.

Most times, they solder the graphics cards onto the MB on purpose so it can't be serviced, and you have to replace the whole unit. Apple is the worst about stuff like this, but most laptop vendors do the same thing.

Oh, and I'm in IT also. Mostly work on OS/390 mainframes. TSO, VSAM, CICS, COBOL, JCL, JobTrac, QMF, SPUFI, we got it all.

Yeah, kicking it old school.
