The lep picture is of the fairly rare and 'tailless' Sandia Hairstreak (Lycaenidae: Callophrys mcfarlandi), the official state buttlerfly of New Mexico not discovered until 1959 in La Cueva Canyon, Sandia Mountains (type locality) just NE of Albuquerque. It's larval food plant (LFP) is Texas sacahuista (Liliaceae: Nolina texana), also called Texas Beargrass, Basket Grass, and many other common names. Why as Lepidopterists' we don't use common names except when addressing folks not familiar with taxonomic assignments (ie family/genus/species) that can be localized, vary widely and even be used to describe total unrelated species (sometimes even a plant and animal).

PS...I think the Gizmo will be replacing the MS.

So do you have specs that suggest the GIZMO will not do the same to a Spheroid? IOW is their bore larger than 16.5mm? Don't think I could handle the Shocking Pink version, but the silver or black maybe.

I like The Donkey and The Don that are my so called "stealth mods", and both are great with a Spheroid size wise. The Picc/Spheroid is almost one as well. I don't really have a need for stealth mods when I can vape just about anyplace here, but they are kewl anyway.

I have been following the builder thread on UKV that suggests differently. I also am in no hurry for the Gizmo. And you are spot on Brother, the coolness factor is the hardest to part with :).
Who knows? I just don't often use it enough. I do like the "tactical" looks of the MS. Who knows I may buy another someday. I am in no hurry to rid of it, other than the above. I am going to try and trade it for another Piccolo and it must be the right one. Like I said no pressure either way.

So I heard July 11th is a pretty important day for the GP Family:).

I don 't use my MS as much as I did when I first got it... and it's been in extended mode for months so not quite as "stealth".

Yeah the 11th will be for those with $$$ burning a hole in their pocket. Gee, wonder who there are? ;)

I think Ishy (?) said in his video the atty hole will be 17mm. I quite fancy one, maybe a red or blue, or even pink, to mix things up with a bit of bright colour in my collection. I am stalking naturevape at the mo.

I have to stealth-vape often. I use public transport every day, often for long journeys, and vaping is banned on the buses & trains. As with others on here it is also banned by my employer - have to use the designated smokers' area outdoors or go offsite. It is annoying but I am just really pleased I'm not smoking.

Vaping hasn't caught on much where I live. I've never seen another person vaping in my home town and the first vape shop within 50 miles has only just opened. It is brilliant to be able to link up with vapers online, see their stuff, learn about new things, get & offer help, and buy from people like Perseas. If it wasn't for the online community I would definitely still be smoking.

I guess no one is up yet. I suspect this thread to take on new life very soon.

Oh no, I'm up! I'm actually trying to get the right build for the GVC i just received in the mail. Was trying to have it with a coffee, then got caught up in getting the perfect flavor. I got all vg, so the clouds are glorious hehehe...

what atty are you setting up for the gvc?

Mine should be delivered tomorrow.

Yep, my GVC should be here tomorrow too. Last time I got VG/Heavy, and this time I wanted to try 50/50 so that's what I went with.....Can't wait!!

Regarding Microsticks; I completely understand not wanting to use them with Spheroids as they DO scuff them up. I now have 3 spheroids, 2 brushed and one polished. I am trying my hardest not to use the polished one in the MS as I feel that the scuffs will show up more on the polished SS surface. I really don't want to have scuffs on the spheroids, but the MS serves such an important purpose for me that it would be hard to give up. I use it all day every day at work, and whenever I am on the go. The Spheroid just works SO well in the Microstick......I dunno.....I guess I'll just try to be careful when threading the Spheroids into the MS. But I understand that no matter how careful I am, they are going to get a bit scuffed...... :(

I guess that's what my P&B tool is for though! :)

Well, since I'm using all vg, at first I was dripping it on a nucleus rda with a dual coil .44 build. Seemed pretty good, but them I remembered users here talking about a preferred setup. Looked at their site and saw a 1.8 ohm build with silica is recommended. So, I made that build in my russian. Pretty good also, but now I'm thinking I'm going to do that build in my spheriod because I think the spheriod will do a better job at delivering the eliquid with silica, as opposed to a rta with silica. We'll see where that goes...

Yeah when I first got my GVC I was dripping it on a .4 - .5 Ohm build in my Quasar. I too thought it was great, but some of the fine folks here told me to try a higher ohm build. So I threw a 1.4 Ohm silica build in my Prometey and the flavor was MUCH better. I now am out of GVC, but when I get more tomorrow I will put it in my Spheroid with a ~1.5ish ohm silica build......

My Gvc came with blue caps instead of orange this time. I always assumed the different colour caps were for different strengths & pg/vg ratios but the bottles are marked up to be the same mix I always have. Does anybody here usually get blue caps, and what mix do you order? (I'm 50/50 12mg). Just out of curiosity really.

I was going to open up the bore on mine just a skoosh, have the tools to do it with in storage, it's just alumminum so wouldn't be hard to do. But I couldn't get the 510 out of it, so have put it off since.

I'm already set with several atties and builds to see what I like best.

I heard-tell though that GVC tastes best on any atty on a TiX.

Stirring things up again I see. ;)

I too got 50/50 12mg (200 mL's of it)......I will be interested to see what caps I get! I will let you know :)

JCP have you tried putting some felt or soft fabric on the inside of the microstick holder? this might help to keep your spheriod from getting marks... Just a thought! I would use just a bit of e6000 glue on the edges of the fabric...

I have not! :)

I suppose it's possible though. There's not much clearance between the OD of the Spheroid and the inside of the MS however, so you'd have to use something very thin.... and you would have to watch out not to block the airflow coming from the 2 openings on either side of the Microstick.....

Could be a fun little project though! :)
