Off-topic (who knew that vaping would become off topic?) but ...

I think I'm off the bench. I had an X in my cart again at domo and took it out because I thought twice, even three times about the price since I'm perfectly happy with my Herons and Spheroids on my v3s. That and I really don't have any topper that I crave in 23mm. My Herons are that good! (The SS X is still in the foreseeable future though)

I did, however, pickup a 650 tube since I've been playing with the new toy I got over the weekend. Thanks for the suggestions, all. :) I picked this because of its looks with the v3, affordable price, good reviews, and suggestions. I have one other to arrive (econo type rda) to play with before deciding if drippers are for me. :)

Loki Labs Odin. I was going to post a pic of the build until I realized I need more practice. My build is currently a thing of fugly...

Hubby #1 was a genius, and incredibly creative. However, he was also Manic Depressive. In some of his manic states, he would lock himself away in the garage. During those times, he would sit at his desk, and write in journals. Thoughts, poems, lists, and drawings of inventions. Although these journals were written during manic episodes, it was all valid material. Quite often, brilliant. I treasure his journals.

That's a description of an ingenious artist that needs to brainstorm in silence, to unfold himself without distractions, not a condition in my opinion. Our daily life is full of distractions and we need moments of solitude, if we want to accelerate our thoughts or to contemplate about our current state of being. I find it absolutely natural, maybe I am a Manic Depressive too. Never mind, I am in good hands here in the Asylum :D

And finally, the fruits of my labor combined with the beauty that Perseas and Co. have created in the Paps X. Secret Summer Santa delivered my Paps X today to be paired with my other polished Paps X in beautiful unity. These are the results I was hoping for, and there are many more combinations than I have shown.

I present, The Twins:

I'm in vaping heaven right now.

Thank you so much VapourArt, Perseas, Secret Summer Santa, and all of the GP Family :)

Spydo,
Did you use a zoom lens for the snake photo? How close were you?

I know how far they can strike Bill, so didn’t need to use a special lens to take good pictures of them. I grew up with rattlers, and have lived with them almost all of my life. So I know them very well, respect them but am not at all afraid of them. I also do not kill them. I have hand caught so many in my life I can’t put a number on it… on rattlesnake drives, to get them away from my family or other folks on outings, for neighbors, for the police, etc. The years I lived on the edge of the Mojave in extreme SW UT I did volunteer wildlife biology/zoology work for the county Ag Department/patrolled the AZ Strip and did wildfires for the BLM in all of SW UT and on the AZ Strip. Included in that was clearing campgrounds of rattlers and at one also gila monsters on a regular basis to keep them safe for campers and their pets. I relocated them far removed from high use areas where their chance of people contact again would likely not ever put them or people in jeopardy again. When I lived there I always carried bags, hooks and a snake box in my trucks, and in the Dodge Power Wagon BLM assigned to me. Since I moved from the last ranch house here I’ve hung up my hooks. The ground is not part of my world anymore, and I’m not agile enough to safely handle them anymore.

Edit: Guess I should add the disclaimer... if you don't have the experience with them, don't mess with them and call somebody that does.

Nice cliffy, drippers actually look really slick on X even at 22mm. And everyone knows my OCD is off the charts when it comes to everything looking flush.

Sorry for the crappy shot. My camera one my phone got really scratched up over the weekend.

Much fun indeed! Already have a new phone on order through work. [emoji14]

Of course my mods handled the abuse well thanks to team GP!

My SS X finally hit the pavement this weekend (was just a matter of when). Bourbon, beer, sitting on a picnic table bench, X in my lap, went to get up all of a sudden...
There's a scrape on the button and my CI drip tip got a little scuffed. Other than cosmetic it took it like a champ.
Thank god it wasn't my Lux X, which now doesn't leave the house!

The X is a BEAST! Not only can it take a beating, it can give one too :D
I was way more upset when my 2.5 dropped.

And here I thought collecting rent in a 42 unit apartment building smack in the middle of one of the the most drug infested neighborhoods in Detroit was dangerous. Hats off. But like anything else if you don't have the experience with them, call in someone that does.

I was so bummed the day I dropped my X #1. Because she was apart at the time, she ended up with two chips. It took a long time to get over those chips. I said that, like I'm really over them. Yea right! :)

Ouch! :(
I got lucky, even the Spheroid on it avoided any damage at all.
I've kinda delegated the SSX as a beater because I know it can take any abuse thrown at it. It will make sure my Lux X stays nice and shiny and doesn't suffer the fate that inevitably befalls all of my mods.
Then again a Rolex Submariner makes a damned good beater too :)

When I was really young, I used to do some 'collections/repos' in some very questionable areas. I bet we both have some stories to tell, on that subject. I don't want to do that again! :)
