I got my Ti X yesterday. It looks great and it's really light as I expected, but I managed to get the top cap stuck on the 650 extension, so I haven't been able to use it as it was intended to be used. Hopefully I figure out how to get the top cap unstuck. I've already tried the freezer method, hot water, WD-40, rubber gloves and softjaw pliers, but maybe I'll have better luck the third time around when I get home tonight. In the mean time, I've already shot an email over to the GP folks to see if they have any suggestions.

Anyways, I think I'm going to use it with my spare SS cap for now. I polished it up already, so it should match well with the polished SS switch base.
Sitting here with the same problem with my SSX. It was working fine this morning, then all of a sudden I couldn't unlock it. Took the switch off and unscrewed the button and got it clear. However now I can not turn the switch base off of the double threaded tube. It's so stuck it ain't even funny and the X was pretty clean to begin with. Going to stop by a store on the way back to the hotel and grab some dishwashing gloves and pray

Don't know how you store your mixed liquids, but FWIW it will hold up much better if you transfer it into a glass bottle and put it in the freezer (it won't freeze), or at least store it in the refridgerator. Trick I learned from doing DIY from large bottles of PG, VG and Nic. Nic breaks down the fastest, so I transfer the nic into smaller Boston glass bottles filled all the way to the top and then into the freezer with them. So only the one I'm mixing out of gets exposure to trapped air in the bottle, is kept in the refridgerator and gets used up before it starts to break down.

You just confirmed a lot of things I've been researching this week to help me make my GVC purchases last longer when I'm next able to score some. It's always nice to know that the someone I trust has arrived at the same conclusions and it's working for them.

I've got some 240ml blue glass bottles coming and will be keeping all but 30mls of each juice in the fridge in the future. Grants, Jimmy the juice man creme brûlée, and AiV white rabbit are my big three that I try and keep a few bottles of in reserve and they'll all be getting the cold storage from now on.

I'll try to get the link. I think X has the link as a macro shortcut as he seems to whip these things out of thin air. It's at your local beauty supply. Like Sally's. Cellucotton. Probably in between the nail polish remover and hair coloring.

CelluCotton ~ 100% Rayon Fibers. Comes in a few sizes at can be found at Sally Beauty Supply. If you do buy some just don't get the 10' Ft. pack since that is not 100% Rayon but actually cotton.

Can you guess where I got mine? :p

So much cotton it'll outlive me!

I specifically looked for 44060 cause that's what I saw in the 1st cellu vid I ever watched.

I wish it was called anything but rayon. I know that it is eco driven and manufactured from pulp material but, I still can't think about it while building. Why rayon?

Anyway, I know I will not give up digging out a perfect KGD wick or cotton in general as I feel it has its place. My Spheroids love KGD and I just built a couple rayon wicks last week in a Spheroid or two. The KGD seems to hold up in terms of shape. We'll see.
Soon, suppliers will be cutting rayon in 1ft lengths for sale much like they are selling a couple KGD pads now.
Don't blink the next best wick is just a few days away :).

And I will NOT be buying it. Ya'll are killing me with "the next best"..........I had just gotten the KGD then Cellu/rayon became the must have.
I'v got so much damn cotton that I was making them into tiny balls & throwing them at my cats. After a while they gave me the you go catch'em look!

You're absolutely right.

We are coming closer to the cigarettes in a sneaky way :D

I am experimenting with ramie for some time now.

So far, it is a PITA in my opinion, too hairy and needs to be boiled to get rid of the taste, I prefer KGD, but it seems I have to try cellucotton as well.

Send me a Heron I'll send you some Cellucotton! :D :D :D
No seriously............I will!!!

I never did get any KGD, but I made a trip to Sally's today to jump on the bandwagon and give the rayon a try (the box got a little munched):

I didn't order a GP Paps X Ti, but I did get some interesting "vape mail" today too:

My plan for tonight: try a rayon build in a KFL and try to silver plate my spare GPin.

My first build on the TiX Erlkonigin.

So I thought I'd go old school today. I've had some GVC for a bit and, though I've liked it, it hasn't blown me away. I have been using it on micro coils with cotton at 1.6 ohms which is much higher than I usually vape. Grant has suggested it tastes best at 1.6 to 1.8 on silica. So I did a hand wrap 4/5 with 32 g on a doubled 2mm silica with the top legs cut at the coil. So far Grant is correct.

I sense that some day there may just be a shortage of cotton and us vapers will be the ones dishing supplies. :)

I think there was some discussion here recently on the significance of the different color caps on bottles on GVC. Your photo leads me to believe that they're random, unless Grant was in a colorful mood when he put together your parcel.

Different color for each of the three different mixes with these.

I replied to your email, but I forgot to describe a method of releasing metal stuck parts on general.
Put a cloth on a wooden surface to protect the mod, hold it from the edge and parallel with the surface, then knock its edge slightly a few times onto the cloth, to move the threads. All threads can be tightened or unscrewed with sudden movements, a similar intend has the repeated knock. If that fails, no worries, just follow my emailed instructions.
