Ok. Had some time today to play with the Ti. The threads seem great on mine. I had no trouble "CAREFULLY" transforming the Ti from the 18800 mode which it came assembled in, to the 18650 mode which I will be using it in.

Should I still work the threads in using water?

The titanium/alu. bronze mixed combo looks great.

I suggest you still work the threads. The water method, or the no water method(like Idaho). :)

Didn't you all know that mechanical mods are dead and all will end up in landfills? A real expert makes his case over here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/apv-discussion/584782-2014-mechs-out.html

I saw that post earlier and started to write a reply, but then I thought better of it and decided not to feed the troll. I feel like I’ve seen the exact same thread within the past few weeks, but that one was opened today. I’ve posted in rebuttal in a bunch of threads recently that claim that mechanical mods are inferior to VV/VW devices or that they’re only for cloud chasers and sub-ohmers. I decided to do something better with my time today so I took my dog to the dog park instead.

I tried to politely point out that it was just flame bait. You will see the moderator's reply to me in the thread. I'm not about to question a mod decision, so just staying out of it. It's my fault for wading into the APV Discussion section in the first place. Makes me really appreciate being surrounded by all of you.

I try to not wander about. It's ugly out there. Life is hard enough. I'm good, right here, with The Family. :)

That is the reason I rarely step out of my 2 favorite brand specific threads. Seems there are always some out there that just love to antagonize. Even in the new members forum, I tread cautiously. If I see someone asking for help and no one comes in with help I will try. Even then Ive had some rude remarks......

For the most part, ECF is the best and most helpful forum with a LOT of good helpful members....

I responded. But I just talked about how I like mechanical devices. I more or less decided not to "fuel the fire"as it were....

But I agree with you guys...I much prefer it in here with all you fine people! :)

Haha. Much smarter approach. I'm fresh out of BS extinguishing chem spray. So I'm out as well.

i agree, this thread is second to none! Love it here! however, i dunno, i just felt like that guy needed more vaping experience. things like beauty, feel, precision, etc never were expressed by him. kinda felt bad for the guy really...

edit: i started to feed in and say THIS will never be in a landfill!

That's awesome! Yeah Wildvet was nice enough to send some to me to try...I'm excited to give it a go! I am loving the KGD, but I've heard such good things about rayon....should be interesting! :)
Jp you are gonna love it! It's such a smooth vape. Let me. Know what you think of it!
