Base is fine, just the bottom cap with the 510. It was reasonably cheap to replace on the v2...

Oh, just the bottom cap - I get it...
As you say, the v2 was certainly available. Make sense then that the v3 would be at some time too...
That said - by the time September comes, you might have worked that repair into "good as new" condition?
Either way - be lucky...

Beautiful harvest. If those are cranberries, you got too few. If those are tomatoes, maybe too many.
So...since last week I lost valuable outdoor time, today I ramped up.

Been years since I've been in bed between tomatoes. Oh man, I shouldn't have said that.
Thank you :)

I crawled into the bed between the tomato plants to reach up and pick. They grew more than I figured. A plant actually grabbed and hugged me. I panicked and ate the tomatoes that were in my hand. The plant then said thank you, burped and let me go.
But damn this is awesome. Walk out and grab dinner. :)

Welcome. You'll get no expertise from me, but I'm happy to have another fellow lurker.
Thought I'd introduce myself too as a long time lurker & short time member on ECF. I have benefited greatly from much of the expertise here, but never participate.

Thanks to akdare's persistence in plugging GP products on another forum, I have a pair of Spheroids & one Heron..... so far.

I think my next GP purchase will be a Paps as it just seems the thing to do.

One question I have is whether the Spheroid V3 base cap will likely be available as a spare part in the future?

Wow, I caught up on all the post this morning then went out this afternoon for a few errand and 12 pages later...

Origen on a Paps? Really? That's my main vapor producer of choice on my Lux and my X. 0.57 ohms with a horse shoe KGD wick. It just works right for me. The only issue I have is that you can't top the well up and stick in your pocket unless you don't mind wet, sticky spots on your pants.

and where would one find that? I'm pulling things about photos, nothing to do with threads...
When I am about I will pm you a list I made of mechanical and connection thread sizes I noted a while back. I have a list of a couple of the vendors I bought dyes from on eBay. I just finished a bit of peppermint tea and am horizontally chain vaping a Heron on this kick ayuss GP Ti mod and am struggling to motivate myself.

Gee Ideho, sometimes you're so subtle it's hard to read you.
    Then again...
I'm working on opening up a bit brother...bear with me :)

yeah, sorry i cant remember who was asking about how low users go on their v3 (or something to that end) a couple of post back, but i have always used .4-.6 on a v3 (18490 and 18650) and i have had no problems. I even dropped it below .3 - momentarily; and no problems. That low is not recommended. So, it's interesting to read about certain users elsewhere complaining that their switch gets hot, but they never mention the build they are using. Some of these people are dropping their builds really low, like .1 and then complain "oh, the GP switch got hot on me...blah, blah, blah." Well...guess what? Duhhh...THAT"S NOT RECOMMENDED. Anyway, I've never had a switch get hot on me with a .4-.6 and above build using vtc5's, 18650 aw imr's, 18650 LG2's, 18650 purple efest, etc. Now, I have had the bottom of the atty/top cap area get hot when chain vaping, but I have other mods that have the same result. Push a dual and/or quad coil build hard and things get hot, what can I say you know...

I've been to Chicago alot [my son lives there] and this does not look like the Chicago I've been to.

I've been to Chicago a few times. Im with you. I don't recall seeing any of that.

Lol, yeah this is just out side of the city. Chicago definitely didn't look like this although the city itself had changed drastically over the years. With all the gentrification all the major housing projects (including Cabrini Green) are out of the city and all the neighborhoods have been transformed. The city is starting to turn into the burbs.

Just wanted to say hi to my pipe bros nisam and FearTX. Nice to see you here!

And hi to all my other GP peeps...been on vaca for a while.
Hey girl. Miss me? Wondering about how you were just yesterday. Hoping your great.

I just tweeted an article about some town in Texas that is dusting the town with a powder to reduce water evaporation due to the drought.
    My words weren't nice

Dusting a town with powder to reduce evaporation. Are there any words to describe just how that even freakin sounds?

They have been doing it in Australia and other parts of the world since the 50s

Drought is really doing a number on municipalities here. At one point in north Texas there were 70 odd townships that had no more water and were trucking in. With another 100 that were 30 days or less from running out. Seems odd and exteme but when you are talking hundreds of thousands of people without water extreme measures are needed.

You should check, arid areas... Dusting of reservoirs to form a film impervious to evaporation happens all over the US every day, it is a monthly application of the stuff.

Ideal? no. Harmful? probably. More harmful than running completely out of water? eh, I dunno...

Back to regular scheduled programming, vaping some amazing banana cream pie from this beautiful LUX
