So there's a Vapor Day on the horizon and folks are starting to come out of hiding after being mostly MIA for a month? ;)

:) Busy with life. D and I are heading your way in about 2 weeks.

@Firestorm - I can't wait for the flat tops either!

Hello all Hoping you are all perfect! Idaho is in full harvest swing! Hug a farmer :).

The Vapourday is coming soon, I'll post details the next days soon.

I sooooooo miss VapourDays! Thanks P I will be getting one of each.

Btw, my silver plated long GPin for my Heron has faded off almost completely where it contacts the battery and I almost always swap batteries from the bottom switch. Anyway I can just purchase a new long pin?

Hello my GP Family! It is nice to see a bit more activity in here. It was getting lonely in here. :)

Back in 2010, when I was shopping for a temporary house, there was a house that kept calling my name. For multiple reasons, I did not purchase it. Now, it is 2014, and I am again shopping for a temporary house. Guess what house is back on the market! Again, there are reasons why I do not want to buy it. But, again, it is calling my name. I wish someone would buy it, so it doesn't keep showing up on my searches. Life is funny! :)

This is it. People refer to it as 'The Castle House'. 20290 Six Ls Farm Rd, Estero, FL 33928 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

Hahaha! Hiding is the essential part for the joy of appearance :)

Guilty....welcome back P! Hope you enjoyed your vacation!

I understand why, it has a natural surrounding, but its appearance might be an omen to seek such locations, not necessarily this one. What delights you is closer to your nature's nature :)

Strike, I never did change batteries from the switch end until I got my X and I've been noticing that it's been causing wear on the Heron long pin. Try from the atty end and see if it helps... it works for me.

That's interesting that you and cliffy15 change the battery on your X's from the switch. I never thought of that. I've always change the battery on the X and v3 from the top. In my case, the X's have a converter ring on them and so I find it a lot easier to unscrew it from there. Same with the v3. I just grab the atty and top cap at the same time and unscrew them both. That also gives me a chance to wipe off the top cap. I always seem to get the switch slightly, very slightly stuck on the v3 if I change the battery from the switch. However, judging from some of your pics, it looks like you usually use the 510 connection on your X's, so maybe it's easier the change the battery from the switch in that case. I'll have to try that out...

The pond is easier than the pool. I'll bring my fly rod down and see what you have in there :)
No gators I hope!

Indeed.. I own a much nicer ten acres a mile from there. Where I intend/intended to build my dream home. But, medical issues have prevented me from moving that far out yet. My heart lives in the woods, with the beauty of nature and its critters . :)

Me and my siblings have 35 acres each in Mississippi where I hunt almost every year. I got a single wide mobile home sitting right next to a pond we fish in. There are shooting stands in trees on the property, that were initially built by my grandmothers great uncle.
My cousins run a hunting camp on their land every year and do a great managing the deer population there. I will post pics when our power comes back on. We have been without electricity for 2 days now due to a terrible storm. My daughters are appreciating the simple lifestyle. LOL
One says it reminded her of our place in Mississippi.

Often we learn the most important lessons when we least expect. I have had the privilage of spending time with farmers both small and large. What I have learned is that farming is the very definition of "earning a living"! That lesson has enhanced every bite I eat because of the appreciation I have for the effort that has gone into the food on my plate.

Thanks for the reminder Idaholandho.
