Hey buddy, long story short, I think it was because Team GP decided they could improve the design a bit. Another reason was just timing, the new GP PAPS version was released and went viral, so to speak. Then the Lux, etc.
The Piccolo was and is very popular but instead of continuing production, P and gang thought to hold off until the design of a new version was complete.
Now, we wait patiently for perfection.
I love my Piccolossss so much, I just bought another :). I still can't get enough of GP. I blame PDawg.

Idaho, thank you for the info. I appreciate it! Hope that you are doing well.

Hey I thought that you blamed everything on Yankee, or is that just everything else?

Hey Bro!! Just trying to get some work done. Not feeling the motivation on this fine Monday afternoon. :)
Hey my good friend! I worked outside all day getting my money's worth out of my fav chainsaw. I am trying to catch up on 3 years of outside work, bailing a bit of alfalfa in between for the horses and still managed to vacuum the house.
I did not realize it was Monday actually, I try not to pay attention to those details :).

Lol. Depends who's online. I think Yankeeballs is lurking so I thought I should blame Perseas this time, just don't tell him.

Hi Perseas! I was looking at the GP PAPS Switch version 3 product page and I noticed pictures that show the switch parts with a silver plated pin:

    img_5162_12.jpg

Historically, LUX switches could not be purchased separately (just the LUX upgrade kit). Can one purchase a GP PAPS LUX Switch version 3 separately now? I know that the silver plated pins can be purchased separately, but I haven't seen the aluminum bronze button or a LUX upgrade kit separately for sale.

Hey my friend! You're right. The Lux button replacement kit v3 will be available, as I have posted in the past. Due to vacations break, we hadn't produced alubronze buttons for the kit, but soon we'll have the Lux kit v3 in stock.

P, will you be making a run of SS Polished X converter rings to go with the polished SS of the Lux and Ti?

Sure, that's easy! We'll make a few starting from this Vapourday.

Just wanted to say hello again to everyone. Its been a few months now since getting my GP X's and I have to give a "sort of" review.

I have been enjoying them so much that I hardly think of them, and that is a "good thing" I enjoy the non "fiddle" low maintenance aspect. They just work and I put them in the same workhorse category as my first real "mod" ( the Saber Touch) Just attach an atomizer and vape..... Vape some more..... change the battery and etc. Only the occasional wipe of the top contacts due to the amount of condensation due to my Odysseus atomizers.

I actually went almost 3 weeks without taking apart the top and button assemblies, which to those who know me better is SHOCKING :)

These qualities have been greatly appreciated especially in the last few weeks as I have been having lot of handicaps and its made me have to modify my vaping habits due to my lack of extremity control.

Thanks Perseas for making such simple, well made and extraordinarily designed devices.

Thank you very much for this. Knowing your taste in mods, I regard it as a great compliment!

Ok, I am certain that this has been thoroughly discussed but, why was the Piccolo discontinued, or put on hold from production? They seem to be quite popular. And it seems that everybody loves the old ones that they have.

As Idabro said. We decided that it could have been better, then we gave priority to other things and its release delayed enormously. These days we are working on it and I'll update further, when we are ready. I can only ensure that we'll release it this year as GP Piccolo v4.

I'm not aware of any restrictions pairing a GP Paps top cap with a GP Paps switch. There's definitely a relationship with the tube and the switch as at least one needs to have venting. I have lots of GP Paps tubes and a handful of other 20x1 threaded tubes so being able to slap a flat top cap with a GPin on any one of these is very appealing to me (regardless of the type of GP switch).

So far I have only acquired a GP Spheroid.
From following the Vapour Art thread though I plan on making it my mission to acquire more as money allows.
I have heard nothing negative about any of it so to me it's an investment.
I enjoy being here and appreciate all of the info provided here and I know if there are questions, there are people to help.

    Just my opinion and observations!

    It's a question of a quality vape!
I have yet to get the flavor out of any device equal to the Spheroid.
I can't explain it but it's true, I can't find any flaws, in any way!

It is an incredible atomizer. I stopped comparing it to others long ago. The ease of set up, lack of maintenance, solid construction and number of builds make it one for the history of vaping books.
Until the Heron came along, nothing compared. I honestly struggled for a while trying to decide which one I enjoy more. Finally realizing that there is no need to choose. They are two of my favorites and collectively having 10 of them I use em daily.

    @Cucco, hi :blush:
and @ the rest of the Fam, Hope your all well.

Welcome, welcome, my bro got me a spheroid and I must say anything else that I now use is just a disappointment. Now I am not saying there isn't great product out there, but the spheroid is spot on what I needed for my vaping journey!
Once I got a piccolo I foud that one set up that serves me perfectly, I never do anything with out my paps mix up my soheriods and my piccolo.

A gully washer took out large sections of Interstate 15 NE of Las Vegas. 50 miles of a major artery in the west for truckers, folks getting between NV and UT and points beyond them will be closed for a few days until they can do reparis. No easy way around it either with the Grand Canyon on one side and the Great Basin on the other.
