I insert the fork into the holes on the bottom of the Spheroid, hold ithe fork firmly in place, and then turn the base.
I tried that method too, no go at all. I'm at a loss.

It gets to where, either way, the fork eventually slips out. I'm just way too afraid at that point that it'll tear up the fork holes, or worse, scrape my beautiful base.

During its first disassembly I put a pliers onto the terminal posts too ;)

Hold the posts with the pliers and then turn the base clockwise using the GP Fork. And since I don't crank them up upon assembly - the subsequent openings of it doesn't need the pliers anymore.

Oh ok, thanks. I'll try that this weekend then. I figured the first disassembly would be the toughest. I never like to crank anything too tight, always only as tight as absolutely necessary, hehe. At least subsequently it will be easier after the initial one, thanks again Q.

See Qorax's post that the Spheroid's base cap is reverse threaded and that it might be very tight if it's new. Good wisdom as usual.

Yeah, the video was nice so I knew it was reverse threaded from the get go at least. That would have been a total exercise in futility had I not at least watched that when Perseus put them all up, lol

Just don't forget to place a folded tissue paper between the pliers and the posts if you don't have one of these:

Ive been searching for something like that for a long time...... When I used to work in the OR, they had these little rubber thingies that were called "Boots" that you would slip on the ends of pliers and tweezers so it would not tear the flesh..

Just ordered, thanks again, Q !!!!!!!

Estimated delivery April 27 - May 18, holy moly. Expedited is April 2 - 7, for 13$ more.

What about these Q? They have Prime shipping and are cheaper than expedited.

Edit: Amazon also has Prime on the exact same ones for only 7$ more.

Any real difference? Can't tell.

I'm asking about differences in pliers models, oh dear

I have two pairs. Sometimes two are handy holding both metal parts.

It is already answered, but one post more about it, why not:
