Not me. I imagine that the diameter of the base has been reduced to accommodate an AFC ring to keep it at 16mm overall and you would need to drill a hole on the side for airflow (if you wanted to take advantage of the AFC). Given that there's now a GPin inside and it hybrids with the Piccolo, I assumed that the bottom cap is different as well. I imagine that the Spheroid v4 base is completely different from prior versions of the base, although I wonder if it's compatible with prior versions of the tubes and bell.

Not me too.

I see your point. But I cant help but wonder if it has similar base assembly as heron, then the smaller diameter is the native thread with a gpin assembled with a disk that is to the connection as the heron. Picture the 510 connector removed and a mini heron gpin in its place, external threading for the piccolo... Different base of course. if what I envision is correct, it could be shorter in length.

Of course, this is me thinking out loud.

Remember I said different base. My ONLY wonder is if the tube and top fit v4 base. No way the v4 upgrades existing base.

Perseas said that the Spheroid v4 holds more liquid than previous versions, so maybe the v4 tube is longer or the v4 bell doesn't take up as much space. If the v3 tube threading is the same and the v3 bell doesn't touch the v4 posts or the coil then I would think that a v3 tube and bell would work with a v4 base. Time or Perseas will tell.

UPDATE for the GPin

The GPin for use with GP Piccolo will be a internal component as default connection for the Piccoloid and as offered separately for the GP Spheroid which will have a 510 connector as default connection. The reason is technical: at 16 mm, there is no room for GPin and 510 connection with the same internals.

UPDATE for the GP SPHEROID 4

Regarding the parts relation of v3 and v4, there is no compatibility; despite the shape similarity and the name, GP Spheroid 4 is a completely new atomizer, designed from scratch and all parts are different. I am still in the CNC, when I return home, I'll post photos and details.

Firestorm is right, the tube is slightly longer, but there is another reason for the increased capacity: Spheroid 4 can be built with 2 ways, with and without fluff :D

How many wick holes does that chamber have?

To fluff or not to fluff, that is the question...
Two wick holes of 2,2 mm, it doesn't leak without fluff. I vape it with and without, there is a difference between the 2 modes in taste and vapour temperature, the fluffless build is warmer, you refill sooner but faster.

The existence of a GPin and a 510 connection simultaneously inside the Spheroid base is not technically possible due to 16 mm diameter. A separate component has to be installed after removing the 510 bottom cap and perhaps the internal post in order to function in hybrid mode or the 510 pin has to be unscrewed enough to make contact with the battery. The latter is not so slick as a dedicated Spheroid GPin, but it works. Currently we are working upon a Spheroid GPin instead of a simple screw. This will be the separate component I mentioned earlier.

The new Piccoloid will be shorter and lighter than before with an increased capacity by 0,5-1 ml.
