Hi @perseas

I will try to get a PoP or email but not too confident as I think he got it from someone else also! If not, what can I do?!?

cheers
steve

You can simply buy the spares from us. I mentioned the transference of ownership for the benefit of warranty and in the potential case we create a free update for the registered owners. Send us an email referring what you need.

I am glad to hear it! Thank you very much for the support!
Just unwrapped my new Piccoloid v2. My goodness, it's tiny! Beautiful! But now I'm scratching my head and thinking:
With the hybrid GPin connection, how do I mount it on my 510 ohms reader and build a coil? Even if I built a coil somehow while the tank base sits precariously on the battery case, how can I check the ohms? Is there a GPin/510 adapter for this purpose? Didn't think about all this when I ordered.......

You need a cheap multimeter at the beginning, then you just count turns of your coil. This is how everyone was measuring before the 510 Ohmreaders spoiled us :)

Looking lovely there eh Steve. Congrats!
Yes indeed. It is a really fine combination. Along with the spheroid/piccolo combo, surely the most aesthetically pleasing devices in the whole of the vape kingdom and my goodness they vape well. As you know i'm a dedicated temp control type but really glad i go back to mech's and kanthal setups sometimes! Regardless of how technology develops (not much if the FDA et al have their way but that's another issue), i really think the olds ways will persist alongside!! 'It just works' as the great man once said...

Success in first built. Thought it'd leak on me, but thanks Q. Followed your tutorial.

28 gauge Kanthal, 7 wraps on 2.4mm with organic cotton = 1.4ohms

Not the best coz when i take a longer direct lung hit, get slightly burnt taste of cotton. But happy and shall try better. Perfect for M2L right now.

Are you doing the type of wicking where you wet the wick and push it up,so when you lay the cap on it it bows out - like an upside down hurricane wicking? That works way better for me and I chain vape at times. @qorax did two videos the first shows the wicking I'm talking about the quick wick tutorial doesn't. Or the second. I don't racial what the two videos were just that the first had what I consider to be a much superior way of wicking it.

About the heron v2
----
So I had put the HnP away because I just can't get an acceptable vape from it consistently. With or without fluff I wind up,with anemic strangely flavored results with poor wicking. It's frustrating because I've been vaping for years and own a ton of devices and even the other one I had issues with (original gem) I managed to get sorted out.

I don't know if I went to the other style cap if that would help. I've tried multiple diameters, clearly smaller diameter coils work better

It's my opinion that the cap when pushed into the cylinder and with the kink it makes in the cotton just chokes the wicking more or kess and because I don't vape anything less that 70% vg I think that compounds the issue.

I'm aware that others have a working setup. I've asked multiple times for photos and videos. Some kindly posted fluff pictures but nothing I've seen about wicking (as many of you know I can only visit sporadically so maybe I missed it but I didn't see quoted responses)

I guess I have to consider getting the old style top cap. I genuinely dint mow what else to do. The piccolo id is probably the most consistent and one if if not the best cakes I have but the shirt battery life makes it cumbersome for me. I guess if I have to buy the top cap I can get a 510 adapter door the spheroid to use it on other devices. Unfortunately my vape budget stinks these days as I'm paying off the surgeries to the tune of over ten grand more than I was told it would be while being unable to work. So my existing nice stuff is my nice stuff and while complete,he quality I don't know if I can justify $100 for a cap and 510 adapter - but if I start saving Pennies Will the top cap sort out this issue? What's the diameter of the wick hole in the new old style top cap? I really don't want to go smaller than 2mm on my coils and any more the wicking just doesn't work for me.

So any help on the other top cap or pictures of your builds. I've watched @qorax videos, doesn't work for me at all. Couldn't tel, you why, it just doesn't wick well.

Thanks for he help. With upcoming regulations I feel the gp gear I own will literally last a lifetime with a few more spare bags. So I am extra invested in getting this working. I love customer support. I love the design aesthetic. I love the thread and family members. I just need some help. I'm tired of fighting with the heron and rebuilding it five times a day to try and get a good build, and never getting beyond mediocre. Me hen the spheroid is so good I know either I'm doing something wrong or thick liquid with larger coils and dense cotton don't work. I'm close to giving up though. I just need help getting this right.

I'll post pictures tomorrow of my build which isn't working properly. I've posted before. Everyone said it looked fine.

Is the issue thicker eliquid ? I do find they Ike's relatively small given the coil size and thick eliquid I have a feeling they're just not allowing the liquid to break the barrier. It just sits outside.

Sorry for any typos. My specs broke. So I tried to proof but it's now too long and all looking the same! Have to get them mended tomorrow.

Also please for anyone reading. GP is a fantastic company. I know for a fact he issues I experience are due to something I'm doing wrong or an extremely specific type of liquid cotton etc. I have had issues across most atomizers with the thickness I vape due to pg alter that's more than mild. And cotton bacon while very good. Is extremely thick for cotton. So don't for a minute think there is any issue with GO fine workmanship. Rayon makes my throat hurt like crazy @qorax I don't know how you do it!

We have provided 2 different toppers to cover all kinds of builds and the Qorax's vertical coil setup is the one of the easier builds for the updated topper. We have positive results with all kinds of viscosities, from 100% VG to 100% PG, TC builds as well.
