Wow. This Heron. Very very good.
It's tricky to set up the first time because I'm used to just cotton and fill it up but wow...

It's great. Only been set up for 5 minutes so I will wait and see but this may take the top spot for attys, along with the V4 for mods.

No point in attempting a detailed description because I followed the pictorial from @qorax
Except I used cotton and then fed it through the hole to the fluff.

Hello GP family!!!!
Im very happy to say that in a couple weeks I will be the proud owner of a Spheroid V4.

Ive been watching all the ref and how to videos out there and will be very ready for when it arrives. Thanks Mr Q for the great tutorials!!!

Does it come with a 510 connection and the G-pin adapter? In some of the descriptions it seems like it does but in the un boxings I see it seems to come with the 510 only. Not that I really need the GPin set up, would be nice, but Im so used to standard 510's anyway.

Second, I see many do the tail up to the sides of the tank so you can see the tails through the liquid slots and some let the tails out and trim flush.

I use at the least 90% VG most of the time and with my NET , which I hope to use on this, I do 50/50 to 70% VG. For thick liquids which wick method do you all suggest?

The GPin adapter is an extra choice. It comes with 510 connection usually. I prefer to trim the cotton tails flush with the topper with my 50/50 liquids, others leave them inside, both ways work. The density of the cotton is what matters most along with the viscosity of the liquid and the resistance value/wattage combination. You'll get the best results with 28 or 32 gauge Kanthal, 1-1,6 Ω and 2-2,5 mm coil. The 2 mm coil is better for flavour.

I use my Heron v1.5 with fluff and without the topper and I vape it as I type, it's my most loved atty. It delivers better flavour in that way, check it out.

SS wires are not my first choice, they are excellent of course, but I am bit more traditional with wires. Or more lazy I would say, since I can dry burn the Kanthal a few times, before I change it. With SS, I can't

I believe they did come standard on the newest Spheroids and Herons.

not sure what the black material is. ultem maybe? I know the ptfe tips are only in white.

Hello to all!! I got a little confused tonight as I was messing with my vape gear and need clarification! I have been using 2 Herons with the 510 adaptor but also have 2 Herons without the 510....just the GPin....doesn't that mean that I can use those on any GP tube without the topcap? That is the GP tubes that it will thread on, correct?

Paps tubes are 20x1 threaded and so is the GP Heron with a GPin adapter (because it was made to screw directly into Paps tubes without a top cap).

For thick liquids do a thick pancake wick (I think that's what perseas meant when he said he trims level. Are you familiar with pancake wicking? I can post some pictures. I use 60-90% vg in mine with pancake wicking

One important thing with the spheroid is to know you can use very thin wire to make a high resistance build and still get a lot of vapor, it also helps wicking thicker liquids.

I'm happy to offer up a build post if it would help you. I'm. A big fan of 31 gauge and 29 gauge in thespheroid.

Only white afaik. There are similar tips which re back, the all black kayfun five tips work well.

So do the half and half with black top
