Hello everyone,

I am very new to the GP world, I've only been vaping for just over a year. I happened across a Piccoloid V2 on a Facebook classifieds group, and without knowing anything about it, because it was so classically beautiful, I had to buy it.

When it arrived it was more beautiful in person. With a little use and research I learned that the V3 Spheroid is better suited to the MTL vaping I do. So, I went looking to find one. Two months later I got lucky on another Facebook group.

I had the opportunity to experience my first Vapour Day and couldn't resist buying a GP PAPS V4.

Now I need a Heron. I know it it will be difficult to find one, but I won't give up.

Before I begin my search I'm wondering if any particular version is better suited to MTL? I'm also hoping to find a longer Ultem GP drip tip.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Ms. QTS [emoji173]️
I have two Heron v1s and one Heron v2. I rotate between all three but the v1s (with the updated bell to avoid gurgling) are my favorite.

In my personal experience, the v2 has some great technological advancements but my builds (single 2mn kanthal coil at appx 1.3 ohm) just work better overall in the v1.

The v2 works better for me with a more open draw (but I still vape MTL). I get more saturated flavor and higher capacity with the v2 but the v1 seems a bit more tolerant of build variances.

They're both good but my favorite is still the v1 and I use one every day (although I wish I had a couple of v1.5 bases).

hope that helps a bit.

That's very helpful. :)

I like a tighter draw, which is why I went looking for a Spheroid V3 after buying a V4.

At this point I'll look for any available, but hope for a V1, although the better flavour of the V2 Heron is enticing. Sounds like I may need to trade off airflow and flavour.

Thank you for your time. :)

Thanks. :) I have already bought the PAPS V4, but the Heron is beyond my budget right now. The Canadian dollar is not strong, so it means adding 25% to the price listed.

I'm really hoping to find one second hand.
I’m thinking the same about the v4. $75CAD shipped isn’t terrible, but I have 4 GP mods already (just not a v4). I think that is good for now, but man €35 is stupid cheap for a GP PAPS 18650 mod!

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on that dripper pro. I've always been curious about squonking and, considering my preference for GP products, figured this would be a great time to try it out.

I read some reviews that once previously mentioned a single-hole AFC and a spitback adapter that would allow the use of standard drip tips with spit back protection. had anyone heard of these? I haven't yet been able to find them on the site.

I don't normally do low-ohm multi-coil builds so I was wondering if this would be in anyway suitable for my single-coil, mtl habits?

The pound is terrible these days. We were looking at €42 shipped so I paid about £37 for one.

Hey @BreSha6869 I know your rate is bad but does a man on the Canadian equivalent of a minimum wage job earn about 100 CD per day?
I guess about $100CAD a day for minimum wage less taxes. Not sure. Around $13/hr going to $15 soon.

Sorry, I haven’t made minimum wage since the 80’s, and it was $3.15/hr at my first job!

i think here you’d earn about £60 so about 70% of your daily wage.
For you about 75-73% something like that?

I remember when I was 16 and did the washing up for a restaurant. I think I was getting around the £3 an hour mark!!!
That was only 12 years ago. Bad times...

@cliffy15
Qorax mentions the spares about squonking and drip tips at about 4.40 min I think

hmm. I literally just put it in my cart and purchased it. I didn't see any other options/accessories available to purchase.

I don't know what comes in the box. The important part for me would be a standard pin and a squonk pin.

I would love to have a spitback adapter for regular tips as well as the 11mm tip that in think is included but we'll have to see I guess.

thanks for the link. I just watched it and it seems two afc rings, the ultem/ss drip tip, as well as the adapter for standard tips are all included so I'll be a very happy camper.

Edit: I have only one dripper that doesn't see much use (Loki Labs Odin) so hopefully this will change my mind!

The product you describe is the GP Dripper Pro and yes it can work flawlessly with single coil, adjustable single airflow ring and resistance values above 1Ω. It comes with the spares mentioned on Qorax's video.

Thanks, Perseas!

I have that new vape mail giddyness again!

I wanted something unregulated and small to work with so I also am waiting on the arrival of an eleaf pico squeeze and a kanger dripbox to try it out.
