Nope, just laid off. We get to draw a little bit of their unemployment, though. Which one did you work for? UP for me.
Ugh, that sucks. You worked for the railroad? Are they giving you the opportunity to go back to school? That's what a whole lot of people here are doing, including me. I got very unlucky, though, and chose a program that I can't benefit from the extended unemployment benefits, so that well dried up already, and we made too much in 2014 for me to get any financial aid. How that has to do with our situation when I started school in the fall I have no idea, but all the cards were stacked against me. Now I have more student loans. I just hope it pays off in the long run. If I had it to do over again I would have just gone for my Bachelor's Degree instead of a certificate program. I want a career that is going to last longer than 10 years like my previous one did!

I'm so happy you have job security in the industry! My husband did great when he was over there, but being a truck driver he was disposable when the industry started to dive. He is actually still kinda sorta in the industry but not on the fields, so his opportunity now is better than it was over there, and our medical looks like it is going to be really good, too! I am anxiously awaiting our new medical cards so I can get us all caught up on the procedures and whatnot we are behind on. It's just too scary not having stable medical insurance. I felt unsafe all last year when we were switching insurance and having to go on ObamaCare for a few months. I just hope the insurance stuff gets better, and soon. We have the opportunity to do great things in this country regarding healthcare and it's about danged time we do!

Oh, don't even get me started. My dad is a truck driver... he does work for a company, but the health benefits aren't all that great. He used to work on the oil rigs years ago (80s through early 90s)... my mom actually cringed when I told her that I was going to work here. She hated those days of insecurity... I knew what I was getting into, though and had a good electronics background from the Navy. So, instead of going to the rigs, I'm in a manufacturing plant. Then I moved to a small but crucial department and made it a point to learn every aspect of the job. Now, they've cut us down to the bare minimum and the few of us that are left are too valuable for them to lose. There are literally only two of us here that can do the job now... but I know exactly what you mean about the scary insurance transitions. When I got out of the Navy I was trying to find a good job with good benefits because my wife needed the insurance even more than we needed the paycheck... at one point I was paying $700 a month premiums and they didn't cover 'squat'... but I had to keep paying it because if I dropped it then she'd have ended up falling into the pre-existing condition clause (at least ObamaCare ended that clause! And that's about the only positive thing I have to say about it.). I've been fortunate enough to be pretty healthy most of my life... in spite of the decisions I've made... but I'll be 40 soon and I know it's just a matter of time before age and health issues catch up with me. I'm very happy to hear that your husband has found a better opportunity and isn't actually out in the field... better stability and probably a lot safer as well. As far as the country goes... yeah, we've got the best healthcare in the world... and the worst management of it... go figure.

The cCells? Yeah, I read all that. I didn't buy into it. Smelled kinda fishy to me. So I quit keeping up with it. lol

Yeah, me too... like I said in the other thread... I've never been an overly cautious person. If I were I never would have started smoking in the first place. Then some anonymous group comes out saying that a competitors product is unsafe for use... yeah, like my first thought is gonna be "Oh really? I guess I'd better put down this awesome vape and go back to something crappy!"

No, my first thought was "I guess I'll just have to find a use for the third nipple that I'm apparently gonna grow now."

Exactly! Ceramic has been used as a wicking material for years so having issues using it as such surface all of a sudden was odd to say the least.

LOL! Besides... think of all the other questionable wicking material we've used over the years... Viva paper towels, Lipton pyramid tea bags, fish aquarium blue foam filters... c'mon... anyone who tries to convince me that ceramic has a higher potential for being unsafe is gonna have a big hill to climb!

Indeed!

Speaking of which, I still have some of that foam in my vape box, I'll let it go pretty cheap too if anyone is interested. :D

I also still have the first 'carto' tank that I made out of an old juice bottle.

LOL! I'll have to pass man... I've still got a bit of that as well. Along with a bunch of Lipton tea that I probably won't drink...

I still have my first DIY mod box. It was a 4 cell AA battery holder from Radio Shak. I drilled a hole in it and epoxied in a 510 connector. Cartos on 6v was AWESOME! And forget about recharging crap... just drop by Wally World and pick up a case of AA batteries every month or so...

Well, VaporShark will never ever see a penny of my money. I don't care much for ppl that spread baseless rumors. Especially those in the vaping industry.

Tell me about it... like we don't have enough enemies out there that we gotta start sniping at each other? C'mon VaporShark... friendly fire is a no-no in this game!

Yep...and a few reviewers who flung rumors without fact are on my dumb azz of the week award list, too.

I absolutely agree... I'm still baffled by what makes these people so famous anyway. Okay, so you have a webcam and you aren't afraid to use it... well, yippee-kai-yay

I was using my puck mods (4-AAA)all the way until the last quarter of last year.......almost 4 years and it worked for me....
It's just I like a little more heat/power now that I see that they are more reliable.....it took a long time for me to trust them...

LOL! I built mine about 5 years ago too. It wasn't until the last year or so that I had ever heard them be called a puck! But yeah, you're right... they work like a charm and there just isn't much that can go wrong with them. I'll probably keep it forever just for sentimental reasons, but I've definitely retired that one. Awesome that you ran on those too! You probably know exactly how many times I've been asked "are you sure that's safe?" ;)
