Great New Mod = Awesome Performance

Yeah, I didn't like the nickel coil... didn't get a metallic flavor from it, just was unimpressed by the performance of it and it seemed to completely lack flavor to me. I gotta say that I did get better flavor from the kanthal coil that I've even been able to get out of my RDAs though, so the fact that you didn't kinda surprises me a bit.



From what I've seen so far, any temp control device will work with any temp control wire... the only difference being that the "set temp" will not be accurate if using a wire type that it isn't set for. For instance, the Target is programmed with coefficients for nickel wire... so if you use titanium or stainless it will still control temperature, but if you have it set for 400°F, the actual coil temp may be 300°F or 500°F... you just have to pay more attention to the performance that you're getting than to trying to hit a specific temperature. The SS cCells should work on the Target without a firmware update, but the temps won't be accurate...

So you can run a SS coil in TC on the Target? I put my Reaper tank with a triple SS coil on mine and it told me "not a nickel coil" and switched me over to VW, lol! I can't remember if I tried it in VW or not. I just thought the little message was cute.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't have any SS wire, so I haven't tried it. It did work perfectly fine with titanium though... also, I'm pretty sure that the Invader Mini will run TC with SS even though it isn't programmed for it.... guess we'll just have to wait for the SS coils to come out to find out for sure...

Yup... if ya ain't got tape handy, then a bandaid will do the trick... I needed some way to stick the bare wires to the battery terminals, right? Yeah, I need to pick up another Target mod so that I can leave my white one at home a stop abusing it so much... I'm starting to notice little wear spots and chips in the paint. I need a production model that isn't so "exclusive" to use and abuse!

Yep, I vaped it all gone... It was some pretty good stuffz! I'd have to rank it up there with the best vendor made juices that I've ever tried! If ya get the chance to pick some up, I recommend it! It was made by a company called Vape Chemist and the juice is MPC.

Yep... ya just get so familiar with it that even if there were another identical mod next to yours, you could still pick yours out between the two because you know exactly where each and every little ding and scratch is... makes me think of the movie 'Full Metal Jacket'... "This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine."

It really was a very tasty juice... I need to order some more flavors, but I want to try to reproduce that one. It was $27 for 30mL at the vape shop... I can't make myself spend that much on juice any more. Not when I know I could make a gallon for that much money!

Yeah, I bought some nickel wire and wrapped a couple coils with it, then ordered titanium. I MUCH prefer the titanium, for multiple reasons. I've heard good things about SS though, so hopefully the cCells will come out awesome!

I had to choose between the vaporesso and the evic vtc mini. I thought the target looked overpriced and gimmicky so I went with the evic. After reading this post, I feel like I may have made a mistake

The Evic VTC Mini is a very nice and capable mod. I can understand your hesitation to pick up the Target, it is/was still very new and relatively untested. The Joyetech however has been out for a little while and is a solid mod. I definitely wouldn't say that you made a bad decision. As far as the mods themselves go, there really is no huge difference between them other than the aesthetic. The biggest difference is in the tank, and more to the point the coils. The cCell coils are a definite improvement over the OCC heads that most other tanks use. Depending on what other tanks you have, you may be able to put a cCell in it, and you wouldn't even have to buy anything else.

Kanger hasn't gotten around to making them for the subtank yet. And the only ones I can find that are compatible are unofficial ones from some sites I don't recognize. I hope Kanger gets on it soon, this seems to be the next best thing since organic cotton wicks.

LOL! There are a few things better than OC wicks... rayon for starters. That's all I use in my rebuildables. But if you pick up an Atlantis or Melo 2, the cCells will work in them too. As well as a handful of other tanks that I can't think of off the top of my head. I think there's a list a few pages back...
