We're all out of Myrrh, tin foil, and thuribles, but we do have a nice stock of the original sacred Nag Champa incense sticks. Hope that works.

I've been told that Mad Murdock's Maha Ras e-juice was inspired by Nag Champa incense. I wonder if that would make a good substitute? I love the stuff, but I've never smelled Nag Champa.

So in the midst of having a super crappy afternoon (lets just say it involved a family member, cops, jail, car impounded, driving all over Indy trying to help, getting large amounts of cash out of bank and buying someone two weeks of groceries) my thoughts are w/my ProVari buds of where this particular thread went. No, I didn't decide to go out and try all these nasty morsels but did find one to include by accident.

In my exhausted haze, I glance over and see this sitting on a grocery store shelf, started cracking up, took a pic and had to share. I'm not as cultured in "unique" foods so I have never seen this before. It claims to be sponge pudding, in a can no less so not sure if its just eaten straight out of the can or what. Either way, I pass trying this but so much fun could be said about this name...and being microwaveable, I wonder if it expands when heated

I love the smell of Nag Champa, but I can't say I'd ever want to taste anything that smelled like it. I'll let you know, I just so happen to have a few mL of Maha Ras in my juice drawer. Can't say how that got there. Must've just magically appeared.

Edit: I just gave the bottle another whiff - it doesn't smell anything like Nag Champa. Not even kinda sorta somewhat in the neighborhood.

It tastes perfumey and incense like, but not in a bad way. Once you vaped it for a bit it tastes like cherries...and other unidentifiable stuff. I think Murdock used about 12 different flavorings for Maha Ras.

You can't base it off of the smell from the bottle. 710 smells like Kahlua in the bottle, but tastes waaaay different. How did you like the Beatle Juice?

Actually I didn't even get to it yet. I ended up swapping cartos & filling 5 tanks at once, forgetting about it & filling that tank with something else completely.

I have Naga Champa fragrance oil (not the incense, which is purer), and a sample of Maha ras from baghandler. There's a small resemblance, but not much. Both have a woodsy tone, the maha ras smells like it might have Davana in it, which is neat, because I've never managed to figure out what to do with davana in blending.

I've never understood why Billakos called it "The Hippo." Maybe it's a Greek thing that never translated well. Too late to ask him now, I suppose. I received my Hippo, Twins and Gemini drip tip from him about two weeks before he was killed. RIP

'Hippo" means horse in Greek, if that sheds any light on it. His death was so sad.

ETA: I'm sure that person's death was sad too, but I was confused. I was thinking of Vasilis.

Yep. I always thought it was ironic, that he gave up cigarettes and started vaping so he wouldn't die early from smoking related causes, then gets killed as he's riding his motorcycle to his vape store. Leaving his wife with an 11 month old son and no daddy.
We just never know when our time is going to be up.

Mojito's are my all time favorite cocktail so I guess to me, it sounds good at anytime but specifically on a white, sandy beach somewhere that is 80° and sunny...which is certainly not in Indy now or ever.
