Walmart and Walgreens both sell a carded set of a 10ml syringe and a ridged conic shaped adapter. The adapter screws into a bottle of VG, the pipette jams into the adapter, then you can tilt the bottle and easily pull the VG into the syringe. Works like a charm. and you can use with bigger syringes too.

I also found a 5ml baby's medicine spoon at one of those stores that you can easily pour VG in and out of.

Thanks - I'll have to check it out!

I see myself having 2 problems with DIY. First, is the whole "needing to steep for a week or more" thing. I mean, here I go mixing something that could be amazing or horrifying, and either way I don't wanna wait that long to find out. Second, is that I have a tendency to "jump off the deep end" when I learn new things... For instance I see myself doing 1 or 2 juices with only one flavor, and when they go well, switch gears and try a juice with like 4-5 flavors. I just can't help myself.

LOL - You may well have a problem with DIY in that case!

But seriously, I have about 6 one flavor juices I really like, and a few more 2 flavor combos. None of the 1 flavors require steeping; the 2 flavor ones I shake really well, and maybe let sit for a day or so. When I'm feeling more adventurous, I take a stardust and mix 2 or more of them together right in the clearo. Whatever sounds good at the time!

I try to eyeball the amounts somewhat, so I can try the mix again if I like it. And, if not, well it's only 1 clearo. I can just suck it up this time, or dump it right down the sink!

I am giving DIY an honest shot. Since switching to a rebuildable atomizer, my only real expense with vaping is the juice, which I find myself using more of. I will just have to control myself. I intend to keep a notebook with my DIY supplies, so I can right down every recipe I try, so that I will know what I have tried that didn't work, and be able to reproduce the ones that do work.

Aside from that, is there any tricks to working with Tobacco Absolutes, that would be different from traditional flavoring? I know that you are supposed to use only a tiny bit at a time...

Mmm...peach, I <3 peach!!

I got a wonderful premixed peach as a sample from High Desert E-Cigs. It was just juicy and awesome. I ordered some peach flavoring from them and I'm super excited to mix some up.

I should get it by this weekend and I'll let ya know!

Towne-

That video rocks! We saw him this year at New Years at Stellar Spark, it was sick.

I love the apricot its so good but have yet to try the peach. I really curious on the Granny Smith Apple and how it stacks up against the other FE fruit flavors. Im finding the fruit flavors are more my speed but I do enjoy the Cigar ( French Pipe ) and BnM too. I just vaped the Hangesen RY4 jimi recommended that I mixed over a month ago and it tastes so much better now. Its not quite the RY4 Im looking for but it vapable. The best Ry4 Ive had was BWB and Mom & Pops Vapor Shop. They have some insane tasting RY4 juice for sure. Just wish I could come close to mixing something like that.

I also ordered some TPA Dragon fruit and don't like it. Something in it gives a burnt taste and it isn't my cartos or PV. Just something off in that flavor no matter how much flavor % I use.

love the Skrillex myself! A good friend of mine use to DJ like that years before Skrillex did but he was mostly trance stuff. This is coming from a metal head musician who really enjoys Slayer - Earth,Wind & Fire lol.

I trust your giving it a good shake several times a day as well right Davey?

Cap on - shake, cap off - sniff, cap on - shake, let it rest. Keep repeating this every day until one day, you shake and take the cap off, sniff and, it's ready!

shaking is good, but if you plan on leaving something for 7 days, brownian motion is gonna take care of it!

yes but where's the fun in that? :D yet it's true :p

Shaken several times, and also take cap off to breathe once a day

Yes we have to at least try to speed up the oxidation and melding of flavors:)

Hi there everyone , i am considering DIY my e liquids... I know that i need to get a nicotine base and some pg/vg and flavorings. I see that there are 100mg/ 36/mg etc nicotine base liquids. Please correct me if i'm wrong but suppose i got the 100mg nicotine base liquid , it would last me long and i'll be able to make more juice in ml out of it or would be the same amount with the 36mg nicotine base liquid?

One more question i have is ... what would be the difference in adding water and not adding water when doing so? thanks alot

Hi godspeed! Welcome to DIY! First you need to know your PG/VG ratio preference, i.e., mine is 80/20 PG/VG. Since most flavorings used for e-liquid DIY are in a PG base, I make a large mix of 75/25, PG/VG. Then you need to know what your nicotine mg preference is. You can get PG or VG nicotine liquid in a variety of strengths. I go back and forth between 6 mg and 12 mg base. So, when I make my big bottle base, I fill 1/4 of the bottle with 24 mg nicotine VG and 3/4 with PG, cap bottle, and shake, shake, shake to give me a nicotine base of 6 mg. When flavoring is added, the nic strength will go down a little, so you might want to adjust accordingly.

I bought plain, see-through condiment bottles (used for ketchup and mustard, etc.) at Walmart. I think they were about $1.00 each and look like they hold about 16 ounces of liquid. They come with a screw-on cap with a pointy nozzle that has a small snap-on cap. They are easy to fill and make squirting their contents into a small bottle easy. I just eye-ball where to make marks on the big bottle with a sharpie marker in 1/4 increments. If I want a base of 12 mg nic, I would do the same except I would use 48 mg nicotine VG instead.

It is very important to buy quality PG, VG and nicotine PG or VG liquid. Since my preference has a lot of PG, I do not add any water. I would only add water if my base liquid was too thick (high viscosity). Don't try to save money by adding water. Use it very carefully, only to thin out a liquid that is too thick (like Daveymist said).

The higher nicotine base liquid will last longer, but you will need to add extra VG or PG. I "kill two birds with one stone" by getting nicotine liquid in a strength that adds the correct amount of nicotine and VG at the same time.

Hope this helps and you have fun with DIY. Best wishes to you!

I have a question.First off let me state I like strong juices like pluid ecto and such.I have bunch of dyi stuff comin some tpa lorann capella.now I know diff stuff needs diff %'s but if you mix em too strong do they taste really bad or just too strong?

I made a few that were way too high in flavor ratio. To me they taste varying from soldering tin to oil grease. I think it really depends on the flavor whether they taste simply too strong or they start to remember you of filthy tastes and smells.

I've never tried pluid but it sounds interesting. If I make flavors with too high a % they just taste too strong and kind of disgusting actually lol ... and I then have to dilute with more unflavored nic base or sometimes it just needs a bit more distilled water since I use VG, no big deal though. Can't speak to the ones with high PG content as I rarely use PG
