It was mentioned one already but ill reiterate that hair happens. I work in food service, I have for close to 20 years. I coincidentally DO manufacture to thousands per week. In fact approximately 10k. I operate in a state certified and inspected facility. We maintain strict HACCP standards. I dont care what precautions you take, unless you have everyone shave their heads and nair their entire body hair will get into things. My employees wear hair nets and hats. At least 3 times per month there are cases of hair. Its life. We are humans, our hair falls out.
Agreed...but someone was just posting their experience on here...that's such an important part of the forums. (at least to me it is)

I have to say I more than agree with this.

The vendor did not respond to your original email in the way you would have liked him to, although he was quick to offer more than one solution. You took to the forums because you didn't get the response you wanted and asked for opinions. Opinions were given, and I'm really starting to think you didn't agree with any of them. I learned earlier that you never responded to his email regarding the solution options?? Why is that?

No two people are the same, nor with they give the same responses...you can't fault them for it. Why didn't you email him back with how you felt? "I appreciate your offer, but I'd like to know how you feel/what you intend to do about the situation. Why do you need me to return the bottle?"(for example). If you were bothered so much by his response, why is it you'd tell the world, but not him?

He's tried to make the situation right...period.

The vendor did not try to make it right. He only did after it was made public, and it was very insulting. If you read the OP, he wasnt looking for a replacement bottle, he just wanted to let the vendor know of a problem. He didn't get an apology, or any of the double edged, we will make sure this never happens again / this has never happened before. If the vendor just apologized properly, without any of the excuses or accusations, this would've been resolved without having to come up here.

You really think he didn't take people's opinions in this thread? Lots of people asked where the tainted juice came from.

Actually, I'm not sure if you saw the OP's email to the vendor, but it was really open and imo a request for resolution to the problem. He immediately gave him multiple solutions to resolve the situation, up to a full refund. Yes, I think he could have been more sympathetic to the OP's situation...but what's done is done. He's tried to make up for it the best he can.

Yes I think he read and took in the opinions listed in the beginning of this thread, however, like the original email response from the vendor I don't think he heard what he wanted to hear.

I guess I'm pretty simple...it took me awhile to find a vendor with juice I truly loved. I have bottles and bottles of juice from vendors that I didn't even slightly like. Now that I've found a solid, reputable vendor with juices I can't put down, there's no way something like finding a hair would discourage me from ordering from them, or cause me distress. I'd have called, told them there was hair in the bottle and asked them to please ship me out a new one. That would have been the end of it for me. I'd chalk it up to the fact that people have hair, sometimes hair gets into things no matter how hard you try to control it. It's just going to happen. It's just a hair IMO.

Cut the guy a break. I'm sure he's freaking out right now trying to figure out how it happened. He's been a valued vendor & member of the community for years.

...and one whose products I've been meaning to try. The disproportionate response to a legitimate quality issue...made me decide it's time I placed an order. Don, I don't know you, but my order just went in. Your juice has quite a reputation, so I'm really looking forward to trying it. As blind luck would have it, two of your hardest-to-get juices are in stock right now, so I get to try out your RY4 and eJoker!

Hair in bottle? Ok, ..... happens, but unless you literally live in a bubble, you're exposed to more germs from turning a door knob than from a stray hair. The response to this "tragedy" is wholly disproportionate and frankly borders on the ludicrous.

On another note, I ordered some RY4 and eJoker today, yes, it's currently back in stock!!!
