I started smoking in my teens. I am 42. I finally quit on 4/22/09. I have been analog free for over 7 months!!! It was a little hard at first because I craved that cigarette and I really enjoyed smoking. But, I knew I could do it and here I am today. I pulled out my winter coat the other day ( urghhh! It's that time of year ) and found a pack of cigarettes in the pocket. It had 1 cigarette left in it. I went right over to the trash can and threw it away. I was so proud! I love the fact that I don't smell like cigarette smoke anymore and that nasty smoker's cough has gone away. Good luck to all who are out there trying! Keep going! vaping is the best!

Absolutely shared the same views as you!

I started vaping July 1, 2008. That's also the same day I quit smoking. I enjoy vaping much much more. It's clean, doesn't offend non-smokers, I can use it anywhere, doesn't make me feel icky, it's less expensive than analogs, and I don't wake up with a nagging cough anymore.

I tried to smoke a conventional cigarette as a social occasion a few weeks ago and I'll tell you what... That was the nastiest, most disgusting, crock of choking crap I've experienced. Makes me wonder why I used to smoke those cancer sticks in the first place. Was I crazy? I must have been insane to smoke them things, and I did it for nearly 27 years!! I don't even remember why I started. I must have been nuts back then.

Switching to an E-cig was a smart choice. I do NOT encourage anybody to use any form of nicotine. If you don't smoke, then don't start. If you do and you've made the adult decision to continue, then be smart... That's what I say.

It took me two weeks of alternating between analogs and vaping, not to mention getting used to inhaling PG (and drinking more water, and using lip balm :))...Then in late june I switched completely. I haven't looked back since.

P.S. for those who wonder, my very slight sensitivity is actually pretty common, at least where I live and amongst my vaping buddies...but mine went away completely. It still can give me dry mouth occasionally if I overdo it.

I just started on Friday.
I've been smoking since I was 12, I'm 36 now. *everyone* on both my mom and dads side of the family has died of some sort of cancer, 3 of lung cancer from smoking....I had to do something.

I can't believe that this thing works so well. I was truly skeptical and spent the money on it kicking and screaming. My friend was urging me and urging me to the point I said "OK, I'll BUY THE DUMB THING". After walking out of the smoke shop with it I got in my car and opened the package, put it together and hoped the battery was charged so I could try it out.
Was in awe at how it had the sensation of smoking a real smoke.

Love it. I can actually breathe in the morning! It's amazing even just after a couple of days. :)

So happy.

Thanks for sharing these things. I am a singer (can you tell) and now at 31, I'm noticing my voice doesn't sound like it did even a year ago, so it's time to stop. My main issue is that I have depression and anxiety and a cigarette is kind of a self-medication. But if I can take in the medicating nicotine without that harmful smoke, maybe I can save my voice AND not lose my mind trying.

A lot of people who switch to eni who self medicate find the ecig alone doesnt cut it. It has to do with alkaloids moai and wta that are not in ejuice. I myself find that while I love the ecig I need to use snus to get what is missing from ejuice. I am off the cigs 45 days without even a hit and only have the urge for one once in a while.

same here.. ive been vaping for 3 days now.. i got a pack of realsmokes and i dont even think i want to touch it.. eventhough i do miss the act ofgetting out to the balcony and smoke.. but i tried lighting it up yesterday and i couldnt finish 1 at all it tastes disgusting..

the only bad thing about e-ciggy is that it tastes so good and u dont know when to finish.. so iendup smoking it like a pacifier.. kind of like 2 hrs straight till time to refill

Count them. . . . 45 days . . . I can honestly say NOT ONE ANALOG!!!!!

Not only that, but I was on a delivery last night and had a stop at a lady's apartment. She had a cigarette hanging from her mouth, the smoke lofting into my face and I have to say, it stunk. Maybe it was just the brand, but the smell was horrible to me. I could smell it on me for an hour and it really bothered me.

I had to laugh though. I was a pack a day for 15 years. I have no desire to go back, at all. Not that I am a militant non smoker now, but it is no longer for me. This really works.

I have no intention of quitting vaping either, or lowering my nic level. I love my juice. I am a Vaper for Life. I tell all my smoking friends and collegues to think about the switch, some have. I don't push, but suggest. Vaping changed my life.

I was a pack a day smoker for 20+ yrs, quit smoking regular cigs 2 days after I got my first vaporizer. Havent had a cigarette since 6/10 this year. I knew I was done when I recently found half a pack of smokes in my winter coat and threw them away without even thinking about it. Before vaping, I would have smoked them right away, hands shaking thinking about the nic fix I would soon enjoy....even if they were a year old and very stale. I still think about analogs now and then, not because I enjoy or miss it, just because its something I did very religiously for over 20 yrs. A fresh drip on fully charged batteries, and I immediately stop thinking about a regular cig. Good luck!
