got my kit and let my elder daughter (who has been wanting to do this for ever) toss my analogs in the trash. It's been two days, less grumpy then I usually am, planning on using the e-cig to wean myself down to o mg nicotine. No analogs unless I REALLY need one, and lots of hope. So far so good. :)

At first it went down from a pack a day to maybe 3-4 cigarettes (I think it was placebo). Then I started smoking more and more cigarettes as my atomizer went out. However, when I restocked on atomizers and cartridges (finally realizing that I'm going to need a lot more of these), I went on with zero cigarettes for more than a month. Now I smoke maybe 2-3 cigarettes a day, the rest is Greentip electronic cigarettes.

I quit on Christmas Eve. I was a pack a day smoker (for 18 years), I then went down to about 4 - 5 cigs per day and then at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve, I just thought, well this will be my last real cig. I have not had any problems at all! I have a 510 (mega) and some great juice ... I guess that's what helped. Although I did order a Chuck on the 28th!!!

I have not fully quit analogs, yet. I seem to go for a week or two without, but after a day or so of inconsistent vapor (which happens from time-to-time with both my Volcano and my RN4081), I run out and buy a pack. I smoked analogs fairly regularly the week before and after Christmas - about 8-10 per day, with almost no vaping. Today, I started vaping again, but still had about 5 analogs. I hope to get some stronger liquid and some extra attys, as well as a passthrough, to get me back on the vaping bandwagon.

Smoked 27 years, minus a 6 month quit in 2006. Got my Vapor King from Vapor4Life on 12/31/2009 with 4mg carts, finished my last analog on January 1, and haven't looked back. I am now a non-smoker. When I left work today, I smelled the smoking area outside. OMG, nasty! Then I walked past a smoker on my way to my car and OMG the stench! I had to hold my breath to get past her.

I got back on QuitNet.com before I got the Vapor King and don't even need the support there. I feel bad for the other quitters since I'm not struggling at all - I'm done, game over, I just don't smoke any more.

Bonus- vaped at my desk all day instead of going outside and freezing to death :)

You got totally off the ecig too?? I'm using my ecig more than I did cigarettes right now...I'm constantly vaping. I will say that I am using low nicotine stuff during the day and higher strength solutions at night. But Im a pretty constant vaper all the same.

If I end up down to nothing that'd be grand, I just cant imagine that yet I dont guess

There are two major trigger points that lower my vaping frequency and dependency drastically.

The first is the 1st-month mark after vaping, I fell very sick during the lung-cleansing process and was bed-ridden for 4/5 days (tar coughing, nose bleed, flu, fever, asthma, sore throat, weak-joints, vomiting). Aftermath, I lowered my nic-level to low.
The next is the 3rd-month mark after vaping, I fell sick again this time was bed-ridden for 3/4 days. Aftermath, I lowered my nic-level to 0.
Since then, I only vaped once/twice very lightly (3/4 drags) fortnightly to maintain my diminishing Hand-To-Mouth habit urge. I begin to exercise more to kerb down on my increased weight due to explosive appetite.

startet with a janty Kissbox extended in march09, since april1 i dont smoked a real cigarette, pyroor name it analog.

i stocked up with a Janty stick, a minipipe (sold already) and a couple of dura/510.
then came the selfbuild boxmods with 801 and VR4 (G120) and commercial mods like bulli/silverbullet.

currently my newest toy is the eGo, and it seems these whole e-cig stuff is a hobby for me.

i don't really need all those, but what the heck :D

PS: i smoked >60 Marlboro reds before daily, and smoked more than 24 years.

Stopped smoking analogs over three years ago.... (don't regret it but missed them like crazy all the while!)... gained 25 pounds (eating no more & exercising like crazy to no avail).... the depression that set in after six months of 'no smoking' was horrible too.. but I hung in there and didn't touch a cig.... now, after three years of intolerable depression, lethargy and weight gain, I discover the e-cig... and my BODY is thanking me every day for it! Apparently the 'nicotene' was all I needed to obliterate the depression, lethargy & weight gain. I have all the BENEFITS of smoking without the Health Risks... I'll never smoke again... but I'll NEVER stop vaping!

Just wondering how many people have completely quit smoking, for how long, and how they feel in comparison.
I have smoked for about 12 years and have cut back from a pack a day to 8 cigs a day, so i think with the ecig I can stop completely, but my husband smokes alot and has a really bad smoker's cough, so I'm hoping if he can quit on these.

I quit when I received my first order on 12/22/09 (okay, I tried a cigarette on 12/23, but could only take three drags and had to give the rest to my husband). I smoked a pack a day for 30 years 8-o. My husband quit the following week when we got some 24mg strength flavors (the original order only had 18mg). He's cheated a few times, but hasn't had an analog in a week now. (he's smoked just as long, but about a pack and a half or more a day).

We have both previously tried patches, zyban, accupunture, nicorette and stop smoking self hypnosis cd's - nothing worked; until I got the e-cig's. So officially I've been 22 days without an analog (wow, is that right?). Doesn't seem that long. Whenever I have a craving (which really isn't often or that bad) I can go vape and after a few minutes the craving is totally gone for me. Just don't forget to take extra batteries, juice & atties with you when you have to leave the house (hubby had to stop and buy a pack because he forgot to take his juice and the battery died).

So from our experience, I'd say if you really want to quit (and your hubby does to), then yes, it will work.
