Speaking of waking up early - I just received a phone call from Bangkok at 4:30 AM asking me about my English tutoring classes. 
I was so groggy I couldn't talk straight for the first few seconds till I got some water down my pipes. Now that it's over I'm brewing some coffee and starting the day early - no use trying to get back to sleep.

Good question, Dave. I may get a chance to visit one or two. The problem would be transport though and finding out where they are. LA is a pretty big place.
I did find a cool little kiosk in the local mall the other day and was fortunate he had a decent charger for sale. I fried the one I brought with me.

Its a troubling new trend with many of our "alphabet agencies". It would be easier these days if they just listed their major sponsors after their names. Like "FDA is brought to you by Phillip Morris & Kraft". At least then we could tell where the attacks on our personal freedoms are originating.
The irony is that for the first time in US history, someone is finally getting their money's worth out of a government agency, albeit through bribes....
